Seems to work fine
Got this to filter out chloramines. Using it on an APEC external housing and it fit perfectly for the standard 10” size. I don’t have any way to test if it removes all the chloramines but time will tell if the RO membrane lasts for its expected duration of use.

Effective Chloramine Removal
The filter is comparatively heavy. Please don’t hate me. But, it is better quality than the “Made in America” filter I’d been using. Fits snuggly into a standard canister with hardly any carbon to rinse away. The filter is in a RO system and the water is used by people, pets and plants. The filter is tested for chlorine/chloramine removal more often toward the end of its 6 month span. Almost 5 months old now and still zero chlorine/chloramine. Catalytic carbon filters are considered an eco-friendly and chemical-free filtration option with a potentially longer lifespan than standard carbon filters. May also remove hydrogen sulfide, volatile organic compounds, pesticides, herbicides, and other organic pollutants.

Not for use with humans/on skin
I bought this but quickly returned it because according to Aquaticlife (who provides poor customer service by the way I was spoken to over email) this filter is for "aquarium, hydroponic and industrial applications" only. NOT for use in showers or with drinking water. There is NO NSF on the product. The description has tricky wording that makes you THINK it's NSF certified when it's NOT. Read carefully, it says they use 3rd party testing that gets the filter TO the standards of NSF42, but it's not actually NSF42 certified. Very confusing. When asked if they are compliant with california proposition 65, I was told they are "exempt from Proposition 65."
