Bought this gem before my mother-in-law and I went on our vacation to Destin. It was well worth every penny!!! It was easy to carry, lightweight, easy to set up, easy to adjust, easy to disassemble, but most importantly stood up to the strong gulf breezes. Other beach umbrellas were flying across the beach but this one stayed put like a champ! Will always recommend!

Believe the listing's photo colors. Listing says it's Rust Red, ah nope. Definitely Orange. But that's ok, most of the other umbrellas on our beach are some variety of blue. Mine will stand out and make it easier to find after my beach walk. And the silver undercoating adds even more strength to the umbrella fabric. Very nice. I was going to ding it a star for them describing it as "Rust Red" but see the pics, can't blame them for me not believing my eyes. Also the screw anchor is pretty strong plastic, should last quite a long time.

I wish I knew how much money I’ve spent on umbrellas, canopies and tents over the years. I think I may have found the golden egg! I’ve been on the east coast of FL for 3 weeks and this umbrella has outperformed any I’ve ever had including the Cool cabana I paid way too much for this year!! The only negative thing is that it turned inside out one day in 15mph wind gusts but I didn’t have it rigged with my self engineered cord rig. Since rigging it I’ve had no problems. Today it’s 12mph and no issues. The anchor screw base usually needs help if the sand is too hard. I have a narrow trowel I use to get the hole started. The starter hole needs to be more narrow than the screw base though. I have recommended this umbrella to all of my friends and family, especially those in areas that don’t allow the canopy type beach shelters.

This is a sturdy solid umbrella BUT in high wind it can still be lifted airborne even when it is set up DEEP in the sand. The ability to tilt it is a great option as the sun moves and that does help with some of the wind issues.

Very easy to assemble. I was extremely happy that it did not fall over once in our very windy week at the beach. Was the perfect size for two chairs and all of our belongings to be able to sit under the shade.

Well made umbrella and pole. Get the umbrella table to go with it. The screw in base is solid. Cant wait to try it out on our Florida beaches.

After one of our two old beach umbrellas finally rusted into oblivion, I researched online, read reviews (including here) and settled on this 7ft AmSun Beach Umbrella for its reasonable size, sand anchor and carrying sleeve. Size: I’m 5’4” and the packed umbrella comes up to my armpit (photo), it’s not awkwardly long when I put it over my shoulder. Parts: Top umbrella with tilt, bottom pole, sand auger and anchor. The anchor is beefy, even if it is PVC (photo). Assembling is easy (photo), and the bottom pole can be extended if needed (photo). I’ve read some complaints of a poorly fixed tear in the fabric prior to use. The only thing I saw were the stitches for the Velcro-tipped strap which keeps the umbrella folded when packing. The strap is sewn to the exterior, and you can see the stitches underneath (photo). At the beach, we still took our garden trowel to dig the initial hole – we dig deep to secure our umbrellas, and found the packed damp sand underneath the surface to be resistant to the auger. We opted to trowel rather than risk breaking something. Tightening the nut to secure the top part of the umbrella felt good and snug without forcing it. Video shows our set up with the umbrella titled towards a stiff and continuous beach wind. It didn’t even come close to being picked up or blown away. Gave enough shade for The Man, more than our old rusted one, more than the second old umbrella which we also set up. My only wish would be for the pole to be a heftier quality – the reason I didn’t give the sturdiness 5 stars. It seems it will hold up, but time will tell if the pole buckles in a stronger wind. So far we’re very pleased! When our second old umbrella needs replacing, I’ll probably get a second one. I’d recommend this umbrella.

This is a beautiful umbrella and functions exactly as I would want. Adjustable height, easily tilts to an angle, throws plenty of shade for a couple people. It sets up and takes down quickly and is lightweight to carry. I’ve had it out in wind 12 mph and it didn’t budge. I also bought the tray table and hooks which make it even more useful. Since the tray table has its own fastener, you can put that at any height you want too. Since this is my first beach umbrella I have nothing to compare to, but it is a little hard to screw it into the sand. I really put my weight into it and I can hear it grinding into the rocky sand and have never gotten it more that halfway to the mark they say. Makes me wonder how long that plastic cork screw will last before getting ground down or broken. But that’s the only negative I can come up with and since mine is new, there’s certainly nothing wrong with it yet.

Works well. Stays in place in the sand even with a wind coming off the lake. Sturdy and well made.

Great umbrella - good size, UV material is a bonus, wind flaps necessary - they’ve thought of everything. The mechanism to screw into the sand is clever- gift recipient really appreciates that detail!

Amsun umbrellas are the best! I had my last one for almost 10 years no issue. This umbrellas is exactly as described. The silver lining is a god send as far as UV rays go. Its beautiful, well made with fibreglass ribs that are way better then steel when it comes to flexibility. They move with the wind. I wanted red, but that wasn't happening with this quality so I changed my whole patio set up the nlue & white just to match this umbrella! The anchor is very wide so it was too big for my stand which is very different, but that's not Amsuns issue. I ordered a thinner sand anchor! Highly recommend Amsun products!

Love the large auger end and the fold out handles to turn the umbrella whilst setting up. Very easy to use and nice design. Good size. Need to be mindful that food out handles are plastic so manage the torque applied to a solid breaking.

Very well made. Handles the wind very good. Absolutely worth the price.
