desertcart.com : Ocean Foods Yuzu Kosho Citrus Red Chili Paste 2.82 oz / 80g : Grocery & Gourmet Food Review: Transported me back to Japan - Awesome! It is as authentic as you youโll get. Tastes like memories of Japan. If you havenโt had it before, try it with several different applications/recipes and use small amounts. Itโs delicious! Review: Really good, whatever it is! - Still not sure exactly what this is, but it's great mixed with mayonnaise to make a spicy mayo -- I usually use siracha for that, but this has a really interesting flavor. Added some minced garlic and lemon juice and called it a yuzo kosho chili aioli, and it was a hit. You can use your phone to translate the entirely in Japanese text on the box -- see photo! Small container, so be aware -- but you don't use a lot at once.

Delicious
Been using this kosho for years and itโs my favorite brand. Itโs hard to find the orange version locally although I see the regular yuzu one in the green package around. Makes a delicious marinade, mixed into dressing or a dipping sauce for dumplings. A restaurant I worked at made a yuzu kosho aioli for blistered shishito peppers.

A culinary must have, that's always available!
I use this for only one recipe, but it is critical ingredient. Amazon always has it, on demand, and I can have it in a couple of days. If you know what this product is, then you already know how invaluable it is in your kitchen. Great product, Great value, and instant shipping.

SO Good!
Got a tiny dollop of this sauce on an appetizer plate at a restaurant in the arts district of LA and asked the staff what it was because it was SO good! They brought out the bottle because they couldn't read the name so we took a picture and searched it on Google, found it here on Amazon, bought it and it was the same one we had. You just need a tiny little bit and it adds such an interesting, indescribable flavor to meat and veggies. Highly recommend!

Maybe a little too exotic...
I wanted to try this product because it seemed exotic and cool. So it's supposed to be some kind of hot pepper, yuzu peel (a Japanese citrus fruit that is illegal in the US), and salt, and they let the mix ferment. It's a paste that you can add to soups or spread on things like sandwiches. It's not too spicy, but even if you spread the thinnest possible hint of it on a sandwich, it imbues a weird taste that is uncomfortably salty. So, if you like insane amounts of salt and strange flavors, maybe give this a try. But for me, it doesn't work. I tried it about 3 times, and ended up throwing the little bottle away.
