Value:Cost ratio is awesome! Great beginner violin!
You canโt beat this value for a violin!๐ป Itโs pretty astonishing that it sounds as clean as it does! Iโm merely a novice and a formerly rented a Bunnel from my local music store for a few months last year. I was jealously waiting for an opportunity to get my own and when I finally reached the point of considering renting again (I like to play on my porch in the summer and fall) this summer I decided to take the chance on this 3/4 (being only 5โ makes me the size of most 11 year olds lol) beginner kit from Vangoa, so affordable it would merely be 3 months of a rental and I took the chance. Glad I did! Extra bridge, strings, folding shoulder rest, hard case, tuner that works perfectly (hot tip- must be clipped onto your instrument somewhere so that you can pick up the noteโs vibration to make it work), extra strings and a somewhat teeny rosin cake. Canโt be beat! The purfling along the edges is merely cosmetic and I will maybe paint something pretty on it. Get it, you wonโt regret it. Iโll upgrade one day when I am ready.

overall a good practice/beginner violin
received a 1/2 instead of 4/4 but was reshipped the correct product really fast in fact before i sent the wrong one back, the resin is poor quality but for a free include not complaining the sound is acceptable good for the price the bow is good quality the tuning simple but be prepared to adjust quite a few times at first as the stings settle overall a good practice/beginner violin

Better than even expected! Perfect for orchestra too!
I wasn't sure what to expect, my daughter has gone back and forth with interest. This is her 3rd time so I really didn't want to spend much since she is casually playing at home. The first she had was one from Amazon and it was hard to play and the sound was inadequate for playing in the school orchestra too so we had rented one for that. This sounds amazing, stays tuned and is easier to play than her rental was so she is even more motivated to learn!!!

Great Starter Instrument
I bought this for my 10 year old for Christmas. On Christmas Eve my eldest daughter and her husband discovered it, and they lovingly strung it and tuned it and admired all the features (they were both in a strings program in our local elementary schools ages ago). The rosin included was hard and unusable, but that is not terrible. Definitely plan to acquire some locally for use. The instructions included are helpful if you don't magically have two amateur violinists dropping by!

Best value for money
I am blown away by the Vangoa Violin 4/4 Full Size Set - it's cheaper than expected, sounds amazing, and the quality is top-notch. The craftsmanship is impressive, and the sound quality exceeds my expectations. For the price, I'd say it's a steal - definitely recommend.

Bad quality
Very disappointed. It worked well until about 5 months post purchase the base started to come loose. I emailed the manufacturer for help and never heard back. Itโs a shame!

Great value for the money.
Good sound, solid quality. Canโt beat it for the price, especially since your mini violinist will outgrow it quickly. I would not spend any more for a child violin, and this absolutely exceeded my expectations.

You will need a violin maker.
Bought this for my daughter as a Christmas gift. Read mixed reviews. There is little tune ability to the violin. The strings donโt stay taut enough with the plastic pegs. The strings barely stay in the center, even with bridge. Had to bring to my local violin shop to be made playable. Another hundred dollars out of pocket. Lesson learned to just spend more money up front.

Works out of the box and even better when properly setup
Out of the box this kinda surprised me. Dimensions were spot on and everything seemed to fit pretty well. Even the string grooves were pretty close to where they need to be. The bridge was fitted "ok" and looked like it could support full string tension without marring the top plate. I know better tho so decided to tune it 4 half steps down to let it settle for a couple days before taking string height measurements. I was about right for steel strings with 4.5-5mm on the G string, 3-3.5mm on the E string. Overall sound while detuned was really good - a touch of growl on the low end but not raspy and mellow highs without the dreaded piercing shrill on the E string. Even the fingerboard had a nice scoop with no obvious dings or waves. The soundpost ends were well fitted but the length was a touch long causing the Treble side F-hole to push up and I could see the pressure spot of the sound in the reflection of the finish. Most beginners would appreciate the overly snug fit of the sound post since it means it will stay in place during shipping and string changes. I ended up cutting 1.5mm off the length to get the F-hole to lay flat (matching the bass side). The top plate still has memory of the old post so the soundpost is super loose with no string tension and the slightest bump will make it fall out of place. Not a big deal for me since I recheck soundpost position during restringing. I did the usual setup tweaks for pegs, string groves, tailpiece position, fingerboard shaping/smoothing, nut height and made a new bridge since I wanted to use synthetic strings (5.5mm G, 3mm E). The original steel strings survived all the horrors of the setup process and still sounded pretty good after all that. I'm running the new formula Tonica's on it now and very happy with everything. I like the project aspect of things but I'm pretty sure I could've tunned it up right out of the box and had a decent beginner instrument.

Everything comes in the package to get started
My Daughter loved the violin at first could be tricky to tune it when your first open it. However, everything is included to get the child playing. I really liked it and will start the lessons for my child

Broken soundpost
Mine came with a broken soundpost; it's now rolling around inside of the violin. I've attached a photo. The bridge snapped in half while I was trying to tune the violin; I've glued it together with wood glue for now, but I'll need another one; which you must get from a music shop. As for the soundpost: that cannot be fixed at home. It must be taken to a music store or violin luthier to be repaired (I'm sure once I take this into the store and tell them I ordered it from Amazon, they'll frown upon me, but alas) The bow is....not good. Two hairs snapped off while I was playing. The rosin is cheap quality but it's not terrible. The tuner doesn't work, period. Shoulder rest is decent, chin rest is not too comfortable, and the case I suppose; it's actually not bad. The case is okay. The front sort of zipper pocket on it can be used to hold sheet music, but it's not completely flat so the paper you put in there will get wrinkled. My advice is: Rent a violin from a music store, or spend more money for a better quality one.
