Sunco 12 Pack LED Recessed Lighting 6 Inch, Retrofit Can Lights, 965LM, 13W (100W Equivalent), Selectable CCT 2700K/3000K/3500K/4000K/5000K, Dimmable, Baffle Trim, Damp Rated UL

Installed 50 to 60 per house with zero failures. These have become our go to recessed lights. We have been using Sunco recessed lights across multiple projects, and this 6 inch 5000K version was installed in a recent new construction build. It is not our usual choice since we normally install 3000K, but the customer wanted 5000K daylight throughout. The result was bright, clean, and very consistent lighting. The light output is strong and evenly distributed with no dark spots. The 5000K color provides a crisp daylight look, but it may feel too cool depending on the room, paint colors, furnishings, and personal preference. Real world installation We have installed these in both * New construction * Retrofit projects using E26 adapter and TP24 connector Installation is straightforward and quick. They fit well into standard housings and wiring is simple. We typically install 50 to 60 lights per house, so reliability matters. So far we have had no failures and no callbacks, which is a big deal on large projects. What I like * Bright and uniform illumination * Consistent color across all fixtures * Easy installation for both new and retrofit * Works with E26 and TP24 setups * Damp rated and suitable for bathrooms * Good value for large jobs What to keep in mind * 5000K is not for everyone, it is a cooler daylight tone * Foam gasket is not always included, so plan accordingly for damp location installs * Build quality is similar to major brands, just without the higher price tag Long term use This is based on about 4 years of use across multiple installs, and we have not had complaints from customers. That is important when installing dozens per job. In terms of build and performance, they are comparable to Halo, Lithonia, and Commercial Electric. Similar materials, similar heat handling, and reliable for the price. Bottom line If you need reliable and budget friendly recessed lights for new construction or remodel projects, these are a solid choice. Not high end designer fixtures, but for performance, consistency, and ease of install, they deliver and we continue to use them.

These are unbelievably easy to use and work great. They mount right into the existing can and look amazing. Lighting is very bright. We installed these in our basement and it is now lit up like a room with all kinds of natural light. Work great with our dimmer switch as well.

Beautiful lighting. Pure crystal white but not at all harsh it looks like being at the beach without the glare.. very easy to install. I cannot believe the quality of these lights for the price, especially I am so amazed. This is one of those hidden treasures where you get so much more than you expected.. I am not an AI bot. I’m lucky I’m a r real person has been just satisfied with trying to find the right lighting for the right price for years in my living room, which has a whole ton of overhead lights. I want it to be green yet. I want to see.. this is indeed the answer I believe in my typo so that you can see I’m real lol. Besides my eyes hurt this morning, so I’m not going back to fix it.

So, I didn’t even know these things existed. I thought when your old can light went (or your wife wanted a new looking one), you had to rip it out and put in an entire new one. Which is a pain. Then I found these - genius. They literally are an all-in-one solution. You screw them in to your existing light socket and with the two spring clips (provided) you wedge the new can up in. From the layman’s eye - you just installed a new, fancy LED light. They turn on instantly (not like the original LED bulbs that had to light up), look great and we’ve already seen our power bill go down dramatically. Still yell at the kids about leaving their lights on in their rooms ... but that’s out of habit. Couple tips, and the genesis of my headline “darn close”. There are other versions of this product, one which we purchased at Home Depot from Commercial Electric. The Commercial Electric was slightly more expensive (it was on sale) but was definitely sturdier and allowed you to adjust the color of the light between 5 settings from Daylight down to Warm White. Note - the standard setting of the Sunco light was great for us ... so no need to adjust ... but if we wanted to there is no way to do so. Here’s the kicker you SHOULD READ - The Sunco comes with the clips I mentioned earlier. They work great for the cans that are essentially shaped like a paint can up in your ceiling. (Hopefully that description makes sense). We also had some older cans that were essentially like upside down bowls in the ceiling. So the first type of can goes into the ceiling deeper while the second is more shallow and or rounded. IF you have the first type of can - you’re all good with the Sunco. The clips will work just fine. If you have the second type of can - you should go with something like the Commercial Electric. It comes with a second type of clip that allows it to grip into the sides of the oval can and end up flush with the ceiling. The Sunco can get up in there ... but you won’t be able to get it fully flush with the ceiling. Summary - GREAT product, especially for the money. Unbelievably super easy installation. (Literally takes a couple min per light). If you want to adjust the light color ... go with Commercial Electric. If you have bowl shaped cans now that you plan on putting the Sunco into ... go with Commercial Electric. If neither of the two apply ... go with the Sunco product and never look back ... you’ll be happy!

Been buying these for ten years. Loved them back then and they have only improved in time. Noticeably brighter than screw in led bulbs, look better, install is a breeze and not a single defect in the 3 cases i recently received. Kudos! Lifespan is terrific! Perfect fit and no flickering. Perfectly functionl!

Great lighting!!! I changed out 42 fixtures in my house. These lights are much brighter than the br30 led bulb's. I always use the 2700 light color in the house. I think it’s a warm classic look.

Mounting arms had to be flipped as in ceiling mounting cans did not have the required cut outs to accomodate. Not the fault of the product but still a problem.

Good quality lights. They work as expected. Easily fit into my existing openings. The difference in lighting is incredible. Throw some dimmers on these, you'll need it.

These lights were very easy to install, I like how clean they look and nice and bright. They dim to a comfortable level all the way up to needing sunglasses. No more spiders coming from the attic now.

Needed an option to modernize our can version pot lights. These were a great sharp looking option. Easy to install, my 14 year old son actually installed most of them for me it was that easy. Lights were nice and bright. Have had no issues with them and they have been in for last 4 months.
