Was a great replacement for my factory extruder setup which I did have problems With. Creality brand means it is very good quality and great value for the money. Assembly was very easy but instructions were lacking.

I had been having trouble with the filament slipping in the original Creality plastic extruded. This stopped all of that. Great product.

Massive improvement over the plastic one that came with the printer. Plastic had somehow worn a cut into the plastic one, but this has no such issue.

I installed a metal extruder on my Ender 3 Pro to replace the stock plastic one, and it’s been a great upgrade. The installation was easy — it bolted right up using the original hardware, and the filament path lined up perfectly without needing any modifications. The metal design feels way stronger and more durable than the stock plastic extruder. With the old plastic one, I had issues with the arm wearing out and slipping over time. Since upgrading to metal, extrusion has been much more consistent, and I haven't had any problems with skipping or under-extruding. The tension adjustment is smooth and firm, and it holds filament securely without grinding it down. It’s a simple, affordable upgrade that just makes the whole system more reliable. If you're still using the original plastic extruder, I definitely recommend swapping to a metal one — it’s an easy fix that makes a big difference over time.

Everything is solid and in working order BUT the spring is WAY too strong and the moment I turned retractions on, I started having “grinding” (really smushing) and no matter what retraction settings I adjusted (I’m talking all the way down to 5 retractions in a 5mm length), I wasn’t able to finish a print without the filament getting mangled and squished - which made it even harder to push and pull in the Bowden tube and then made it squish it more… I chased the problem all weekend. I finally found some random video that identified the issue that the spring is too strong and to switch back to stock spring from the plastic one and pull the insert out of the spring for more relief. Someone also commented to cut the spring down to relieve even more tension. I felt like the stock spring was the exact same. I cut a coil or two off, bent the end flat again and now I can adjust it with the screw. That’s what I did and it’s working great so far. I thought keeping with the manufacturer. I’d be good, but I had to learn the hard way. Read these reviews. There’s probably one here that would’ve saved me hours and hours of troubleshooting. Hopefully this saves you. The parts are solid and fit well besides that.

Great upgrade for my Ender 3. Even at the lightest setting it was squishing my filament I just had to adjust the spring and then it's working perfectly.

Most of these 3D printers are copies of the commercial ones and pretty generic. I took one look at it and knew it would fit, as it's aligned on the drive axis of the stepper motor (like 99% of them). My bowden mount on my Aurora A5S failed and broke. What can I say? it's plastic and Aurora does not sell the part that broke! I like the tension adjustment on this one, no more sore thumb, and less dust. It has a firm grip on the tube now, and I'm back in business! The instructions could would be better if they were steps. There's definitely an order to putting it on. I tried putting it together on my desk, had to take it apart again! Install the lever last.

The product works perfectly well, though it is a little difficult to put together as the instructions were more like following a diagram. But overall, I am very impressed with this product.

Easy to install and great quality

Much more reliable than a plastic extruder and super easy to install if you follow the video on this page. I didn't even need to replace the press-fit gear since it was still in good condition. Overall, it was a very low effort, high impact upgrade for my aging Ender 3

Yes this made a difference over the stock plastic one. No more separation layers! Installed in only few minutes on my Creality Ender 3 Pro. which has a 15mm motor shaft- no issue. Remember to redo your e-steps and flow calibration after replacement.
