GREAT PRODUCT, Highly recommend. The quality of this product is outstanding. The materials provided from the hardware, to the actual mounting brackets are all very high quality. The instructions provided are easy to follow and there is a video demo to walk you thru it all. I actually bought a different model Sanus from Costco and when I went to install it found out the studs over my fireplace were not the typical 16 inches on center. I ended up returning the product but frankly really liked the quality of their product. I called the customer service people and explained the dimensions I had to work with, the type of TV I had, and she was able to offer me a few options. I went with the vlt6-B1 as I wanted a tilt model and because the mounting brackets would work with my home. If the studs in your home are not 16 inches on center, this is the TV mount you want to purchase. It took me just over 1 hour with a friend to install. This mounting bracket is super strong. It says it is rated for up to 150 lbs, but I think that is a low ball figure. I liked how easy it was to mount the TV into the bracket and how you could hear it “Click” and lock into place. There is room to get your hands behind the TV to remove a HDMI cable and then push it back into position. The viewing angle was easy to adjust. Overall I would highly recommend not only this particular TV mount, but SANUS as a company as this product is well engineered and thought out. The price I felt was very good for the quality of this product at $136 it may be a little higher price than some, but well worth it. Update to review, I bought this 5 years ago in 2019 and it has worked exactly as promised. Today I needed to remove the TV I mounted to relocate it, it was convenient that SANUS had a FAQ section and I was able to back and review the instructions on how to remove the TV since I had tossed the instructions away after installation. Great product, I still HIGHLY recommend it. The price has come down.

Super easy install as long as you have the tools. Took me 20 minutes to set up and it was the first time I ever wall mounted a tv. Adjustability is perfect and you can level the TV after installation as well. Totally worth the money just for the ease of installation alone. This is a quality product and I'm positive it will stand the test of time.

I have a 100+ lb Panasonic 50" plasma TV that is almost 20 years old. The picture is still perfect, so I bought this mount to put it on a wall over a fireplace. All I can say is that it's easy, works perfectly, is more than capable of handling the weight, and accommodates my non-VESA-standard mount on the TV.

I used this mount with an 85” Samsung QN90b tv. I’m pleased with the results. First, the good. The stand itself seems to be well built and handles the weight of my 85” reasonably well. Their documentation really set this mount apart for me. First, I came with a nice wall template. Second, the written instructions were excellent. And thirdly and most important to me - they have an online tool that helped me calculate the exact distance from the floor to the holes on the mount. And that tool is very well done and easy to work with. It was game changer for me, taking a lot of the guesswork out of the installation. If there is a downside, I wish the wall bracket was a bit wider to I had the ability to span it across 3 studs, thus giving me more ability to move the tv farther left/right on the bracket. With the way my room is set up, I hard to slide the tv as far right as possible on the wall bracket, and you can see that the bracket is pulling away from the wall / flexing a bit. I thought the lag bolt might be pulling out so I took the tv off the wall, but that wasn’t the case - the bracket is simply flexing a bit. I have zero concern about the bracket breaking, just wish they’d made it longer. Maybe they didn’t so it’d work with smaller tvs too, not sure. Also noteworthy and something you don’t get with other manufacturers, they provided a lot of bolt sizes, washers and spacers for the brackets that attach to the tv. That’s awesome as on other mounts I found myself at the hardware store buying random bolt lengths to try and find the right size. All in all this thing is very nice, would definitely buy again.

Highly recommended! I've installed 4 or 5 different TV wall mounts before, so I didn't need a ton of hand holding, but the instructions for this one exceeded my expectations and helped secure the biggest TV I've ever had to mount (65"). The install went pretty much as planned except I neglected to account for the existing power outlet that would be covered and had to drill holes twice to move the back plate over a little. I used Sanus's guide to figuring out how high to place the TV on the wall, which was nice and made figuring out where to drill easy. Installing the TV attachments and hanging the TV on the back plate was simple: it clicked on with no trouble and I was able to slide the TV over to center it since my wall studs weren't dead center of the TV watching area. I was able to tilt the TV down slightly for an ideal viewing angle to finish the job.

I am super picky about hanging things dead center. As such, I just assumed the Sanus online calculator couldnt be trusted to get the job done. So I attempted to calculate the proper dimensions myself, which was no small feat since the mounts on my TV are not centered vertically, and neither are the holes or scissor center on the mounts themselves. After arriving at my number, I decided to use the online tool as a double check. They were off about a 0.25 inches. Turns out it was right and i misread my tape measure. ... The online hanging calculator is great. It already knew the exact location of my TV mounting holes based on brand and model #, and told me the exact wall locations for a 40" hang height (from bottom). My only knock would be that I needed an intermediate screw length for my TV and only long and short were provided. However, i was able to make up the difference using the ample spacers provided. TV glides and articulates smoothly and beautifully. The scissor hinges give a good amount of up down tilt on my 65", and a very mild left right. The pull out distance is super handy for getting behind and connecting everything -- one could argue this feature isnt important because you should only have to suffer thru connecting once, but i like it. Build quality is great. Course, it is fairly pricey in comparison, so quality is expected. The 4 huge lag bolts to hang the wall plate is a bit overkill; i suspect it was needed for the massive margin requirements for UL certs. The TV is a couple inches off the wall fully retracted, so perhaps this mount isnt ideal for walls where side visibility is a cosmetic issue. My mount is in a bit of an alcove, so i cant see the side. Bottom line: Great mount, great SW, little pricey.

Great mount but I ran into a small issue where the spacers provided were either too small or too large. If you use the large spacer with the bigger bolt then you barely have the bolt seated in the TV. If you use the smaller bolts and no spacers, same issue. I had to improvise with some of my own washers to have both the right buffer and be able to screw most of the bolt into the TV. You can see in one of my shots how much depth I would lose if I use the larger spacer provided. If I used the tiny bolts with no spacers, the bolts themselves are too small for comfort since they do screw in but over hardly any thread. I almost debated cutting the larger spaces in half but decided to just use the combination of smaller spacers and my washers. Besides all that it’s a great mount and maybe your TV would leverage the other bolts provided. The ability to adjust the level of the TV by a hair even if you technically leveled the mount bracket is awesome.

I was hesitant on spending a good chunk of money on a TV mount. Especially when there are so many that are relatively inexpensive. Fortunately, after doing some research I'm very, very happy with this purchase. The mount is packaged well and had all the necessary parts to work on just about any TV. Mine was a 10 year old 46" Samsung with a 400x400 VGA. I used Sanus' website to get the exact spot I should mount my TV. It's located above my fireplace so it was a bit tricky. However, their guide worked out real well! With the right tools, drill and ratchet, the hardware went into the studs real easy. Once the mount was sitting on the wall, I was able to life the TV and, essential, drop it into place. It snaps into place and is able to be done with one person... although HIGHLY recommended for two. A nice feature on this mount is the versatility. I can pull it forward several inches, to install wires, and also slide it back and forth to get it exactly in the center of my fireplace. The horizontal sliding was definitely needed as the studs above my fireplace were not centered. Lucky for me, they were still 16" apart. To release the TV, you pull down on two tabs. This feature is nice because it's simple and quick. It locks and unlocks without much force. All in all, spend some extra money and get this mount. If you need horizontal movement because of needing to be centered in a room, but no use for side to side action, then this unit is a must. Enjoy!

This wall mount is very sturdy and worked perfectly for our 65" tv. It is easy to adjust and also easy to remove the tv if needed.
