Moist, flavorful salmon!
We followed the instructions on the package and our salmon turned out perfectly. The only thing I did differently was to place the salmon directly on the grill briefly for the grill marks; but then immediately placed the filet on the plank ( skin side down). My family loved it. I wondered however whether the planks can be reused. The side of the plank exposed to the fire got pretty dark, even though they soak for a couple of hours. I washed them for reuse, but Iโm not sure

Great added flavor and appears to be useable multiple times
I made a smoked jalapeno meatloaf on the grill. The cedar didn't overpower the wood smoke and kept the meat very moist. The plank was presoaked and had little charring so can be used at least a second time. Thickness and size were perfect for this application. Anxious to try Salmon next

We gave these to our son for his birthday along with a set of grilling spices. The gift was very well received. Seems to be a good value and quality.

The boards impart great flavor as well
Have purchased and cooked with many of these cedar planks. The trick for me-- soak in water for as long as feasibly possible. I usually try for at least 6 hours. Even after such a long soak time, they have a tendency to get charred (my usual internal grill temperature using this product is 375-400 deg), and occasional light on fire on the ends (the areas not loaded up with fish, meat etc). A pro tip-- I cut lemons in half, and place on the areas that aren't covered with food. This has stopped the wood from getting charred/ignited. The boards impart great flavor as well. I absolutely love using this product for grilling fish on my gas grill.

Board Set on Fire
Okay so this could totally be user error as it was my first time using something like this. Which is why I did not want to rate any less, just in case. However, I DID follow instructions and soaked the boards before using as stated. One of the boards was fine and the other completely set on fire/burnt. They also smelled odd. Didnโt seem to add much flavor to the salmon so overall was not worth it to me, especially for the price.

Makes the best salmon ever! CAN BUY CHEAPER ELSEWHERE
We wanted to try making cedar plank salmon on the grill, and these looked like the perfect, more-affordable planks. We had difficulty soaking the plank, because it was too long to fit in many containers, but eventually we figured something out, placing a plate on top of the plank to keep it underneath the water. We used the salmon rub recipe that is on the packaging for the planks, and, oh my god, it is amazing. Definitely keeping the recipe. I am not lying when I say these planks and rub recipe helped make the best salmon I've ever had, and I order salmon pretty much any chance I get when we're out to eat! I think if we soaked the planks a little longer next time they might end up in better condition; the plank turned out pretty burned and black at the end. **4/12/16 UPDATE** After wanting to buy these again, I realized I can find some at Lowes for 4.99. Much less
