Which do you in your option is better: Liquid or the solid( pods) ?

Powder only is best. You can use it for prewash and main wash (see dishwasher manual). Pods have pretty colors for disolved oil suspension, but have same chemicals as powder. Liquid is weakest due to some chemicals not mixing well when in water, and liquid is, mostly, just powder and water blended for easier use. Powder will get you 2-3 times as many washes per container, it lets you adjust your soap if you have hard water (hard water needs more soap). So, it goes Powder, Pod, Liquid. Are these artificially scented in any way?

The Cascade Complete Dishwasher Pods are specified as "Fresh Scent." The Cascade website lists the following under fragrance: 2,6-Dimethyl-7-Octen-2-Ol, 2-T-Butylcyclohexyl Acetate, Benzoic Acid, 2-Hydroxy-, Cyclohexyl Ester, 2,6-Nonadienenitrile, 3,7-Dimethyl, yclohexene, 1-Methyl-4-(1-Methylethylidene), Ethoxydiglycol, and several others. If you consider these chemicals "artifical" - then YES, these are artificially scented.

Will the pods still dissolve properly if they got slightly wet (i.e. splashed) before use in dishwasher?

While we don't recommend they get wet, yes, they should dissolve the same. The Cascade Team
