SwissGearApex Travel Duffle Bags

I needed a larger bag to carry my (large) sparring equipment, uniform and papers for Taekwondo. This bag ended up being the perfect size - it's a big bag, but it's not too large.On the thickness of the material - it seems more durable than I need for my purposes, but I would not want to put sharp, metal, or extremely heavy objects in here. I think the material could be torn when under stress, which is probably where the critiques of durability comes from.I find it to be the typical quality of Swiss Gear, which justifies the price to me. It's wonderful for my purposes, and it'll also be great when I travel as it is very spacious and versatile. Very satisfied customer.

Unlike the NPUSA bag I tried order first (actually wanted 2 separate front pockets, but oh well) which was 4 inches/approximately 5.08cm shorter than listed, this SwissGear bag was the 26 inches (along the longest axis) that it advertised. In the product notes and the image with the dimension measurements that is... the header says 28" and so does the button next to the 20" button... Now... I wanted a 26 inch bag... so this is good. Just figured I'd mention it somewhere. It seems sturdy enough so far although I've only lugged it around once across town with around 60 lbs of mostly paper... Little worried about the plastic fasteners for the shoulder harness, but it's hard to find duffel bags in the sizes and pocket setups I want with metal ones. Rating may change if it suddenly starts tearing early. My last bag lasted over 14 years and cost me $20 from Walmart (minus the similar plastic clips, which snapped under less than 40 lbs, so I'm being careful not to put the bags full weight on them) so I expect at least 10 years with little tearing for this kind of money...

Way bigger than I thought it would be. I had originally expected this would be gym bag size. It's not. It can fit a lot more. We ended up using this duffle for packing all of my kids stuff together when taking long trips to the grandparents (in foreign countries). Very durable, very solid. At this size, if I was going to use it on airplanes, I would probably expect to have rollers on it.

It’s a good spacious bag for the most part. The shoulder strap broke after a couple weeks of use.

Bag is great for storing all kinds of things. Has a sturdy shell wall that helps keep it shape. Very durable material.
