I bought these to replace my same German scissor that I've had for over 30 years. The only reason I'm replacing for me, is because my boyfriend took over my scissors. I gave him my old pair and bought myself a new pair. Same ones. I expect they will last the rest of my life! They are great for trimming hair. Very sharp and precise. I guess you can use them for paper or other things, but I use just for haircuts. Yes, the finger holes are not very large, but they work for me.

Nice and sharp. Good for moustash, beard, and eye brows.

I use these scissors to groom my show dog. I really like the shorter scissors, and this cuts as well as some of the more expensive scissors for some trimming. I don't mean to discount the more expensive brands, as I have only used these one time, so we'll see how they hold up against the pricier scissors. These would also make a great pair of all purpose scissors (thinking crafts, needlepoint where you might need or want a shorter, sharper pair of scissors). I like the gold handle so they are easily identified in the pile of grooming tools that I always end up with. No complaints.

The blades are sharp and cut really nicely! What I dislike are the small finger openings. I have large knuckles and my finger gets stuck sometimes. Maybe I hold the scissors incorrectly? Anyway, it is hard to unstuck my finger and hurts. I'd love a pair exactly the same with a slightly larger finger opening.

When I saw the description of rhese scissors as 5” I assumed they meant the blade length, not the length of the whole scissors. Frankly, these are too small to be of much use, and the finger holes are too small for even my fingers. They are nice and sharp, though.

These scissors said they were good for grooming a dog so I purchased them. They are good for trimming around my dogs mouth and eye area, however that's about it. When I tried to trim her ears or any part of her body hair these scissors slipped and were not giving a quality cut. I think they're a little too expensive for what they can do because I have two other pair that do the exact same thing but we're much cheaper.

These scissors are excellent for hair trimming. They do not have an excessively pointed tip, so you are not likely to accidentally injure yourself. Care should be taken, however, because the blades are sharp and cut cleanly. They have a balanced feel and nice weight in the hand.
