Works for even the most disturbed cloudy icky water !
All I can tell you is that this flocculant works, it will sink everything , I was so amazed , following the instructions, dosed it with my measuring cup , poured it into the skimmer and ran the pump for two hours. Turned pump off and didn’t even look at that pool for 20 hours . We had a terrible mishap , a huge flowerpot fell off the deck and nobody noticed it till late at night and the whole pool was cloudy, with so many particles floating in the water, it was hard to see the floor, nothing one can just vacuum up . I was near tears. So when I finally looked at the pool again I said wow , everything had settled to the bottom , I mean everything , even the smallest sand particles from inside the potting mix , the bigger debris and the mulch as well. So I went to work and vacuumed very carefully on waste, letting the hose run at the same time and it worked beautifully. I was flocked, hehe . This was the first time I used a <pour in skimmer > flock and I wish I had found this earlier as it is much easier to use as what I had been using. So happy !

Finally a clean pool!
Made the mistake last year of letting the pool get green. Thought no big deal, put some chemicals in it. Killed the algae. Strips looked good for levels. And there has been dead algae at the bottom of my pool for almost a year! I have tried all the things. Got a robot vacuum. Tried a hand vacuum. Used a clarifier. Shocked it multiple times. Cleaned the filter over and over. Had the kids swimming in the pool to keep it stirred up and hopefully get pulled in to the filter. Pieces were too small. They just came right back into the pool. Found this product, did a little research and YouTubing about how to vacuum to waste. And wala. Worked like a charm. One day with some tedious vacuuming after the flocculant did its job of sinking everything and clumping it and I can see the bottom of the pool again no problem with no more dead algae to cloud up the water anymore! Beautiful clear clean water!

Works but expensive vs. Other brands
Works as intended but did cost alot more than other brands which can do the same thing. Shop around first before you purchase.

Amazing stuff!
So we had bad thunderstorms with hail, wind and lots of rain. We live on a hill so all the excess water from the yard flooded into the pool. I was devastated because I thought I was going to have to drain the pool to get it clean. Told a friend about my issue and he suggested some stuff that could potentially help. So I researched what to get and decided to give this flocculant a try. I used the recommended amount (half the bottle) and followed the directions on the bottle for running the pump and letting the pool sit for 24 hours. The pool looked better, but still was rather green and cloudy. I decided to use the remaining amount of the bottle and let it sit for 24 hours. All I can say is wow! After 45 minutes of vacuuming , my pool is back to clear. Highly recommend this stuff! (Before and after pictures provided. )

Best $15 you can spend for your pool
We are first time pool owners at our new house. We bought it in November and couldn't have a pool inspection done due to the time of year. We had no idea what condition the water was in until we pulled off the winter cover this April. As you can see, the water was black and the pool clearly hadn't been opened for a couple years at least. We ended up using gallons and gallons of liquid chlorine, which over the course of about 3 weeks got us to the first picture (aqua green water). The algae was mostly dead and we were just dealing with cloudy water. While keeping the pool at shock level, I decided to add some of this floc to clear up the water. It needed about two days to fully settle and drop everything to the bottom, but as you can see the water is pretty much crystal clear now - truly a lifesaver! From there I just vacuumed to waste, going very slow as to not kick up the dead algae. We have a sand filter which is known for being the slowest at clearing up cloudy water, probably would have taken another week or so of constant filtering to clear it up without this flocculant. I did also add some DE to the sand filter which helped a little too. Perhaps I could have used this floc earlier on in the process, but regardless I am happy with the results. I included the third picture (black water) for encouragement to those who may have a swampy green or black pool. Ditch the pool store, buy liquid chlorine and flocculant - if I can do it you can do it!

User beware: Dosage depends on how cloudy the water is, not just the volume of the pool
I have a 40,000 gallon in-ground pool. After adequate shock, the dead algae turned into bluish gray and clouded the water. Around-the-clock filtering over multiple days was not enough to clear the water, since the dead algae was too small and could go through the cartridge filter. So I had to turn to flocculant as the last resort. The instruction says one bottle should be enough to cover it, but after I put the whole bottle in and waited 24 hours, the water was still so cloudy that I could not see the bottom (shallow end 3.5 ft). As a result, I could not possibly vacuum the sediment to waste. I bought two more bottles on Amazon and put them all in (three bottles in total for 40,000 gallon pool), and in 24 hours, the water turned clear, allowing me to vacuum to waste. Overall, was reasonably happy with how it turned out, but the instruction should have indicated that the dosage would depend on how cloudy the water is, so users know to adjust and don’t have to think through other alternative causes why the water stays cloudy. It was frustrating trying to figure this out on my own.
