Beware: This is pure gray; there is NO BROWN COLOR in it
I bought this to try to approximate another piece of wooden furniture that was a dark walnut color with some gray in it. The furniture piece I wanted to match was very close to the color shown on the label and the website, which is a brown-gray. The actual gel stain is pure gray with no hint of brown. The brown I suppose is supposed to come from the natural color of the wood. I wish this had been made clear to me. A waste of money.

Color is different in person
So they offer many options of colors and I’ve used them before and been very happy… Just disappointed this time around. They had a gray and an ash gray option. I chose the ash gray because it had more of a brownish tone that would match more closely to my current furniture that I had in the room as well. When I opened the can the paint inside looked more blue gray then an ash gray color. Seems more closer to the gray option that I didn’t choose. I wanna head and painted my older desk just to test it out before painting the other furniture that I would be more concerned about. And then and in the end it does look more like a blue gray then a brown gray… So just so you know the ash gray does not look anything like the advertisement

Damaged and Leaking
This product arrived damaged and leaking. In addition, color was way off. I am not one to give a bad review, instead, I like to deal directly with the company. However, when I tried, I received no response. Sad customer service!!!

Not Ash Gray. Relabeled wrong color.
The quart of Ash Gray I just received is clearly not the same Ash Gray 1/2 pint I purchased earlier. Completely different colors. The can was relabeled over a “Java” color sticker.
