Both sets of our car keys were in desperate need of a new case and these worked out well. My husband did have to shave a little bit on the bottom where the key is so it would fit securely, but it was worth the trouble. I also ordered a protective cover so the casing wouldn’t break again if dropped.

Perfect replacement case for my 2003 SC430 Lexus key case. Case cracked when I turned the key in the ignition a couple of months after battery replacement. I suspect the screw fell out. I was able to get the plastic off the metal part and insert it into the new case parts with the controller that wa fine. Works perfectly and appear to be well made.

Better than expected. I didn't need to modify either the original metal key nor the new plastic case pieces. the old metal key is a very tight fit but skillfully using a vise grip plier I was able to squeeze the plastic sheath all the way down flush with top of metal key - in retrospect cleaning the metal key using a good scouring pad or even some steel wool to remove old grime and grease then lubricating the key with some very light oil would have made sliding the new plastic sheath over the old key would have made an even better fit without the risk of damaging the plastic piece with the vise grips - fortunately I did not damage anything and I didn't need to cut or modify the kit nor did I have to grind the key. The Gold Lexus Log engraved on the back is a real bonus!! Considering what Lexus charges for a replacement body this is a real bargain - it appears that the quality of the plastic is as good or better than the original - very secure, no wiggle at all - all parts nice and tight and firm - feels strong and secure and looks better than new.
