I’ve been using the KontrolFreek Galaxy Edition Aim Boost Kit on my Xbox Series X controller for about three weeks now, and the difference in my K/D ratio is actually noticeable. If you’re a fan of shooters like Call of Duty, Apex Legends, or Halo, this combo is a high-value upgrade. The Breakdown: Galaxy Performance Thumbsticks: The "mixed-height" setup is the way to go. You get one high-rise stick for the right (aiming) and one mid-rise for the left (movement). The extra height on the right stick gives you a much wider arc of motion, meaning you can crank your in-game sensitivity way up while still making tiny, precise adjustments. Plus, the laser-etched "Galaxy" design is super grippy—no more thumb slips during intense 1v1s. Precision Rings: These were the surprise MVP for me. They are essentially foam "mufflers" that wrap around the base of your thumbstick. They add physical resistance, which prevents you from "pinning" the stick too hard and overshooting your target. It makes the aiming feel much more deliberate and smooth, especially when sniping. Compatibility: They snapped onto my Xbox Series X controller perfectly and haven't budged. They also fit my older Xbox One controllers without any issues. Pros: Instant Accuracy Boost: The resistance from the rings, combined with the height of the sticks makes "flick shots" much more consistent. Comfort: The concave surface of the Galaxy sticks feels very natural and reduces thumb fatigue during long sessions. Build Quality: The rubber doesn't feel cheap or "sticky" over time, and the rings hold their shape well.

Absolutely awsome product. I play Rainbow 6 Siege on ps5 and Im admitedly trash at the game, and to be completely honest not only did this help me get more kills, but it also helped keep my fingers comfortable because of the soft rubbery material on the sticks 10/10 would absolutely recommend

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Grip and Better Aim — Worth the Upgrade I grabbed the KontrolFreek Aim Boost Kit Black Galaxy Edition to get better control during my gaming sessions, and honestly, it made a noticeable difference. The thumbsticks feel way more comfortable and give me extra grip so my thumbs don’t slip when I’m in those intense moments. The kit comes with two thumbsticks — one mid-height for movement and one taller for aiming. I like having that extra height on my aim stick because it helps with precision, especially when sniping or tracking enemies at a distance. Plus, the three different resistance rings let me tweak the tension on the sticks to exactly how I like it, which is pretty cool. Setup was straightforward, and the black-on-black design looks sleek without being flashy. I’d say there was a little adjustment period at first — my thumbs had to get used to the extra height — but after a few matches, it felt natural. The only thing to watch out for is the resistance rings; they can be a bit fragile if you’re not careful when putting them on or taking them off. Other than that, this kit really helped me feel more in control and comfortable during long gaming sessions. If you want a simple upgrade that actually improves your aiming and grip without breaking the bank, this is a solid choice.

The sticks are fine, they are 4 pronged like newer models instead of 3 pronged so they stay on secure, tops are soft rubber and dip enough to hold your finger in pretty solidly. With 4 button back paddles on the DualSense PS5 controller you end up in a grip that's awkward and tiresome after an hour of gameplay and I'm used to gaming on Xbox controllers for 8hr+ sessions. The initial feel of higher sticks is awkward and "wobbly" compared to thousands of hours learning the micro adjustments you need for shorter sticks BUT the trade off is if you put in the time to readjust to tall sticks which WILL be a learning period the end result is you'll have significant improvement on aim. After all a taller lever means more ranges of micro adjustments and this adds more then double those ranges on the taller stick. HOWEVER there is a cost to adding on more ranges and that is more travel time across all those ranges you get from a taller stick. So while gun aim and recoil will definitely improve your MOVEMENT however will NOT and you will notice a decline in faster paced games like Warzone. The reason is what used to take X amount of fractions of a second to readjust to like turning from left to right is now going to take double the time since now there is double the distance to travel to achieve the exact same turn reaction OR you'll have to make up for it by doubling the speed at which you'd naturally make that turn so drilled in muscle memory will have to change etc and even still that increase in finger movement speed to make up for increase in distance to travel will cost you increase in errors and over corrections etc. There's a reason the industry settled on a particular analog height and doesn't just make crazy high sticks the norm and it's because the short sticks FEEL the most intuitive to natural hand motions across the most varied games and gameplay styles and tall sticks is niche for adding a tiny bit more control at fine motions like sniping or ironsight aiming etc. All in all the tradeoff of wobbly movement and aim in exchange for better recoil control is worth it for me but if you play a game with slower movement then don't think twice and get these it'll be 90% positive experience with the remainder being tolerable. The foam rings however are a gimmick and total TRASH, they aren't machine perfect in construction and won't offer resistance in a perfect circle thee will be minor deviations in resistance around their circumference and they amount to what I would best describe as "training wheels" for a kid who's never played a console game in their life to get used to stick motion or for someone with impaired motor skills from an injury or something to be able to pickup and play a game that calls for precise analog control. They LIMIT you so it's no different then just pressing less on your stick and they will definitely fall apart in a couple game sessions worth of use in my opinion or degrade gradually over a month of casual play. Regardless, the foam rings can be substituted in most games by just turning your aim sensitivity all the way down to it's lowest setting if you want very slow unresponsive stick control. TLDR: Stick are a 5/5, they do what they are meant to do and you should try to understand what that is ahead of time instead of expecting miracles. Foam rings are a 1/5, sticky, useless, imprecise pieces of junk you can make yourself an unlimited supply of for a dollar at home depot that kind of do what they are meant to do but not at all accurately and won't last. Get the regular Galaxy sticks without the rings add on's and you're good to go!

Great value getting both stick grips and the resistance rings. Perfect fit on my Series X controller. Seriously noticeable improvement on stick grip (duh). Only a day in, but I can conclusively say my aim and accuracy has already improved! Be careful installing the foam rings though. They ARE foam, and can easily rip if you stretch them too much during installation.

These lock on really tight, have used these before without them coming off while gaming. Was using another brand after my old pair that was inferno style got chewed up by my cat. That other brand was constantly coming off when aiming. This version has more designs that really grip your thumbs. The slight tackiness makes sure your thumbs wont slip off during critical moments allowing better control. The foam pads help with better aim. Quality is well worth the price.

I was quite surprised with these grips honestly from what i've seen in reviews before buying they last longer than I had experianced and as well the presicion rings are really not too helpful and seem like more of an anti drift keep the sticks in place durng moving or shipping thing, they are too limiting and cause you always are pushing the limits of the rings when aiming at at further targets from center screen or fully pushing to sides to gather info they limit the standard and imo most natural aim curves you have on your controllers sticks by default, meaning even if you go higher sens it doesn't fix any issue other than a side effect being less overflicks which is unlikely as is because we have aimassist in the games these products are targetting. The value for money is mediocre and the rings are simply not worth it, if you are going to go for using a ring use the lightest one and don't try to get used to the more dense foams as they are more limiting as it's just material density difference which adds restriction due to material, although i love black on black i'd love the lightest rings to be the darkest but that isn't the case, at least it isn't green purple and black for whatever reason cause that color scheme matches closer to zilch. The thumbstick grips are great out of the box simply don't last as long as i have seen in other reviews but im quite competitive so maybe im not a normal user.

Fit well, worked as expected. My husband didn't like the rings, but loves the stick extenders

I got them for siege, and to be honest, they really helped with my aim. They felt very natural on the joystick, and they are an enjoyable experience

The foam rings broke within 20 minutes of use.

Great on the 8bitdo 2c controller for FPS games. I had to use pliers to carefully bend the plastic parts that latches onto the joystick. The sponge thing where you add to the bottom of the joystick really helped with aim control.
