Extended Hot/Cold Pack, 40 Ounce

I have been using Magic Bags for over 30 years. Most have lasted 10 or more years with frequent use in the microwave. They are great as they never get cold overnight. Body temp, sure, but not cold like a water bottle. I just replaced an older bag and the new bag leaked grain. We were able to sew it up, but if you made replacement covers that could go in the microwave, I could wash the cover and leaks would be contained.

I’ve been using my Magic Bag nightly for a while now, and it’s become one of my favorite ways to unwind after a long day. I tend to get tension in my back and shoulders, especially before bed, and this compress has genuinely helped me feel more relaxed and comfortable before I fall asleep. I heat it in the microwave — about 35 seconds at a time, repeated 3–4 times — until it reaches my ideal temperature. The warmth feels deep and soothing, and it helps me loosen up those tight muscles without needing anything bulky or noisy. I’ve also had an electric heat pad before, but I never felt safe using it while sleeping. With the Magic Bag, I can comfortably lie down and rest with it on, which makes a big difference for me. Pros: • Soothes back and shoulder tension really well at night • Easy to heat in the microwave • Safe to use while lying down • Works for hot or cold therapy depending on what you need Cons: • The bag needs to be replaced every few months because the grains naturally lose some heating ability over time (this is expected with these types of products) • If you continue using the older bag, you might find yourself microwaving it longer (like 40–50 seconds at a time) to get the same warmth — and it can develop a bit of an unpleasant smell as it ages Overall, I’m really happy with how it helps me relax and ease tension before bed. Great product. I have a different size of this brand that is still in use. Very good quality and reliable. Also I like how it does not have any added scent on it too.
