New 'favorite' Casein. Surprised me!
Decided to switch brands and I have to say I'm coming back to Dymatize! It's priced less as the tried and true Optimum Nutrition Casein per/lb which I've been using for years, but I think it has just a tad more BCAAs but it also has 2.3 grams of L-Leucine which is proven to help with protein synthesis, and we all know you build muscle in your sleep, not when you workout so that's a great little extra! The taste is good and it's VERY low carb. (Basically none) I'm on a cut so carbs/sugar are a deal breaker and this basically has 2g of carbs-- it's entirely protein and nutrients, I think it's less carbs than Optimum Nutrition's variant. It mixes well in water/milk (I get a little bit of clumps but to avoid that I'll add some milk FIRST than add a scoop and top it off with milk/water) It's HEAVY in that you need about 2 cups of milk for it to mix properly and have it not be too thick. You can get away with just using water and having to use much less liquid. I like using Silk's 'protein' nutmilk just for some extra protein/nutrients and I usually have to fill my shaker almost to the top with one scoop for it to have a thin enough consistency to drink. It seems to 'grow' when using milk. I can attest that it does it's job. In the morning I typically feel less hungry than if I don't take it, and as a result I'm less sore, etc. I also don't get any bloating, etc. but occasional I'll have some 'gastric' issues-- but that's usually if I eat dinner too late and as a result take this an hour or two after I've had a meal. It's best to take on a completely empty stomach right before bed. But like my post workout protein, (Animal True Mass) this is now a staple of my routine along with my other supplements.

A delicious high-quality daily treat!
This Protein powder quickly became an essential item in my pantry. After experimenting with many other alternatives, I realized that using this daily, provides me with an excellent sustained energy good enough for regular work out and balanced diet. I mix 3 scopes (1.5 servings) with 10-12 oz. of milk, two scoops a serving of chia seeds, a handful of salted mixed nuts, and occasionally a serving of Creatine. I blend it all in Nutirbullet, and the result is always a delicious, perfect consistency, wholesome breakfast/lunch! The blendability is perfect. The taste and smell are very pleasant. It doesn't even feel like a compromise, but rather a delicious treat. Unlike other brands I tried, this one doesn't clump or have any chalkie at all. As long as I start my mix with the liquid in the blender first, then add the power, it works perfectly every time! I highly recommend it!

Easy to Dissolve, Great Taste, and Keeps Me Full
I've been using this protein powder for about a couple of weeks now, and I'm really loving it. It's so easy to dissolve, and it has a great chocolate taste. I love that it keeps me full until morning, and it comes with the BCAAs and amino acids that I need to build muscle. I've read other reviews that say the taste can be a bit too sweet, but I personally don't find that to be the case. I think it's the perfect balance. Overall, I would definitely recommend this protein powder to anyone looking for a convenient and effective way to boost their protein intake. Here are some of the pros and cons of the protein powder: Pros: * Easy to dissolve * Great chocolate taste * Keeps me full until morning * Contains BCAAs and amino acids * Good value for the price Cons: Some people may find the taste too sweet Overall, I think this is a great protein powder.

Good protein powder
This is the firat casein protein I have ever tried. I find it to be a little bit chalky tasting, although I have read that casein protein does tend to be more chalky tasting than whey. The flavor of this is pretty good. Mixed with water it is not the greatest, but mixed with milk it tastes very good. I usually take it before bed and I have not had any issues. I was a little worried about having gas or stomach cramps as some proteins I have tried in the past had side effects, but none so far with this casein protein. Occasionally when mixing this it does get some clumps in it, but it doesn't bother me too much. Overall a decent protein for the price, I probably will continue using this as my nighttime protein.

Tasty, Slow Release Protein Product
I LOVE this casein product! I read that people find it chalky but it really isn't very much. It's kind of thick like a milk shake. I appreciate that it's low carb, only 3grams per serving, and 25grams is a good amount of protein. It does have a few extra ingredients included but I think those help even the consistency of the shaken or stirred product. And it tastes yummy. I look forward to my delicious shake before bed and know that the slow protein release in the night will keep my muscles fed for a few hours. I HIGHLY recommend this product!

Yeah it has a bit of a texture, but not bad.
The reviews I've seen for every brand of casein had me expecting a mouthful of chalky sludge, but nope. Just loaded up a 22oz blender bottle with the stuff, dropped in a couple scoops (yep this is more water than suggested on the directions,) and it went down almost as easily as whey. I did notice a slightly gritty texture, but nothing that'd put me off from drinking whatever I had prepared. Another upside of the extra water is that I could easily add some creatine and/or beta-alanine without worrying about anything falling out of solution. Flavor-wise, it's one of the better chocolate flavors I've encountered. If I had one gripe to give, it's that the scoop managed to find its way all the way down to the bottom of the container, so I had to reach into a bucket load of fluffy powder. Btw, 10/10 hand-feel. Not really sure if that'd be a reason to prefer a brand either, but there it is.

So Far Best Casein
I have tried ON, MB and MyProtein, but so far found this to be best, in taste and test, of practical efficiency results! See ON, is not easily water soluble, but Dymatize is easier (although technically all Casein are much Thicker than Whey.. but hey, every muscle building research will show! That casein is actually MORE important for Muscle growth, as it keeps Nitrogen protein balance in body stable for Anabolic muscle growth, so yeah for guys taking 3 scoops of Whey per day, along with wholefood sources, its better to invest in 1 scoop whey and 1 scoop Casein, or atleast some Indian Cottage Cheese = Paneer before sleep. But phew, lets hope they bring Casein price down! ARGH! This still costs over 100Rs per scoop (25gm per 36gm scoop) while cheaper whey can be around 80Rs per Scoop (like 24gm of 30 protein in ON Gold Standard).
