What does the 1/2 teaspoon on the top refer to? It flows freely, so it is not possible to measure with the dispenser alone. Just curious as to why it

It's really a free flow dispenser so if your precise you can pour out any desired measurement including 1/2 tsp. But overall the mark isn't important.

It is a free flow dispenser and will pour as much as you tilt.

Can 1 be used for Sugar and another used for Cream?

I know you can use it for sugar. I’m not sure there is a liquid proof seal so it might not work out for pouring cream. The metal is very thin. It did not meet my needs and I gave it away

Will this work well for powdered creamer?

The spout gets a lot of buildup from the steam when using it for sugar. I imagine it would be even worse with powdered creamer as it tends to clump up already in its own.
