My new TV only had HDMI ports for video input so I got this adapter to use my old Wii console. Super easy to plug in, and the USB port on the TV provides power as well for a clean installation. No lag and no drop in image quality, very happy with this adapter.

This is a solid choice for component to HDMI conversion. The picture, color and audio quality are great, no issues there, especially for the price. This has been compatible with all devices I've tested it on. The only downside is that the power cable is fairly bulky. It's a large adapter with a somewhat stiff cable, I would have preferred the option to use USB-C power.

Bought this to connect my old XBox 360 which has a YPbPr (component) cable video output to a new Samsung TV which only had HDMI inputs. This worked flawlessly out of the box without even reading the instructions. You just hook the respective red green and blue cables from the XBox video cable to their respective color coded cables on this box and then the red/white audio cables up, plug the USB cable into the XBox USB port and you’re ready to go. The USB cable is only for power so you can plug it in to the USB power supply that it comes with. However, I had read a review that this might cause syncing issues resulting in wavy lines on the screen. Apparently, plugging the USB power cable into the XBox fixes this so that’s the way I did it. The picture quality is excellent with good color saturation and crisp images and is at 1080P resolution. The sound is output through the TV or your TV soundbar. Overall, this is an excellent product and does exactly what it needs to do. You can set it up and forget about it. If you’re trying to connect an older video device such as XBox 360 DVD player, VCR, etc which has only YPbPr (component) output, this works beautifully. *** The one BIG caveat is that this is NOT designed for composite video signals where you just have one yellow video cable. Someone posted a video here showing them hooking up a single yellow cable to this device and then complaining that the video was degraded and only black and white. You MUST have separate Red, Green, and Blue cables coming out of your device for this to work. If you have a single yellow video cable (component video), this is not the right box for you. There are other devices available on Amazon that will work for composite video signals. ***

Just got mine, open it up and get it set up just to have it not work. Both lights are on. Everything is hooked up correctly and no matter what I do I can not get a signal on any input. Genuinely confused.

Worked great with a newer Wii cord but did not work with an older original version.

Worked perfectly with my old multimedia player.

Picture is so much better then the regular av cables! Obviously won't be mind blowing, but cleans up the image and makes the game playable and so u can enjoy it! Paid with an mclassic is also a must! So nice! First image cleans up the lines more, 2nd(ones with black borders) classic mode. Either way is so nice! Even without the mclassic!
