I found the OEM inks quite expensive and the levels drop much quicker than expected. There are 3rd party inks but they don't have a chip so the printer cannot monitor the ink levels which creates a risk of a cartridge empties before a print has finished and these print heads need the ink a a cooling medium. I upgraded to a Pro-1000 and while the inks for that are insanely expensive, they give better value for money in the long run
