I’m really happy with this clean vegan carrageenan free D3 formula by AMANDEAN. The 5,000 IU per cap makes it easy to dose. I’ve bought it 4 times and it’s consistently high quality and fresh. The pills don’t leak, stick together, or clump in any way. They are easy to swallow, tasteless and odorless. After I switched to this brand, I was able to confirm with bloodwork that my vitamin D level was at a therapeutic level.

This is my second time to order these. I researched for quite some time before choosing these particular vitamins. I choose these D3 because they include K2, which is supposed to be beneficial when taken with D3. Another reason I switched from the D3 I had taken for years, the quality has changed (gone down) over the past years (like many other vitamins nowadays; I pay attention to the one star vitamin reviews— you can glean a lot of info from them!)

Good combo in base of coconut oil. I take vitamin D3 and K2 (mk-4, mk-7) daily. Vitamin K2 (not K1) is an important cofactor to pair with supplementing D3 (especially higher doses) as D3 encourages calcium production and absorption. However, calcium can't be trusted to go where it needs to, so that is where vitamin k2 comes into play. K2 helps direct calcium to the appropriate spots. So in and of itself high D3 isnt toxic (hundreds of thousands of research articles can be viewed on pub med), it is the excess calcium that goes to places it shouldn't (kidneys for example) that creates problems. Adding in K2 negates this as it tells calcium where to go (bones, appropriate functions). I used to only take the two supplements separately, but there isn't enough information out there that makes me think this is necessary. So I have been taking the D3/K2 combos. I like seeing more and more of this available as it makes it easier to remember to take what is needed and not have to have two separate products. I normally go with a non vegan option as nearly all of the research is done using lanolin based D3. Even the Amandean website mentions this. So while that isn't totally comforting, I do appreciate their humble transparency and figured this formula was worth giving a try. It has the amounts I look for and is in a fat base, which is important for absorption. I think it is a good option for those requiring vegan options. If not, then save a slew of money and go with a reputable non vegan supplement. Either way, this seems good so far. Get your D levels checked to see how it goes.

What else can I say? My vitamin D level is above the recommended level as shown in the blood work. I took it daily in the morning.

UPDATE: Amandean reached out to me and helped solved any issues I had in a quickly manner. They truly care about their customers and the quality of their products, and I would definitely recommend them. ————////———- Was excited for this product however, all of the soft gels came stuck together and there was a very foul smell inside the container. Not sure if this is normal or if they went bad. Can’t return them since I opened it, really disappointed!
