How do you close or seal the tube after using it to make sure the remaining product doesn't dry up inside?

It does have a cap. But you are right it isnt air tight so sooner or later its shot. Ive found the quart tubs of stucco repair works every bit as well, especially if you leave it to dry for a week or more before painting
