Amazingly creamy!!
This is one of the most heavenly products I've ever tried! I went dairy-free last year, and of course have been trying to find dairy replacements for coffee and tea, dishes, baking, etc., and have finally found the most incredible non-dairy cream. For the last year I was using Golden Star Coconut Milk because I had tried every single brand of coconut milk I could find and all the ones I tried weren't that good. Golden Star "had" solid cream on top and coconut water on the bottom. It "was" perfect for use as dairy-free cream! That is until the last case I bought: it was really watery with no cream on top and no water on the bottom. When I used it as coffee creamer it wasn't nearly as creamy as usual, and there was this thick layer of coconut oil on top which ruined every cup of coffee or tea I tried. Every single can was watery and a waste of $30. This lead me to Aroy-D. First I tried the milk, and loved it. It's rich and creamy, and tastes amazing. I just wish it was solid cream like the Golden Star used to be. So I decided to try Aroy-D coconut cream. While it's not solid cream like I was expecting, it's even richer and creamier than the milk, and will most likely be my go to from now on. I only wish it came it the small tetrapaks like they offer their milk. The first quart of cream I bought I used approximately 1/3 of it and saw that other people froze the rest. I decide to try that and find that the freezer imparts that gross freezer taste and smell into the cubes so I'll have to either find a different way to freeze it or how to use a quart within 3 days. Overall I'm very happy with this product, it tastes incredible, is a perfect creamer for coffee and tea, and will work as a dairy substitute for most things. I just wish they offered it in smaller containers.

Quality Control is Poor. MILK not CREAM
First experience with this product - great. Ordered 3 of them a month ago. Fantastic full cream, no milk, hardened up in fridge. Second experience this week. Ordered 4 of these. First box is milk, not cream. As if they labeled the box wrong. I am very frustrated.

Perfect for making Ice Cream (recipe included)
After trying about 1/2 dozen recipes for making non dairy ice-cream and I found one that called for whole fat coconut milk. It was still a little too thin for my tasting. I want a whole fat, whole flavor, really decadent dessert, just no cows milk. :) So I took that recipe from the web and modified it with this product - Aroy-D Coconut Cream and WOW! Great, smooth and creamy ice cream. There are even tiny specs of coconut in there. I had to try it so I drank out of the carton and the coconut flavor is full, creamy and just about good enough to drink alone. In ice cream it is perfect. I just ordered 12 more to keep on hand. My recipe: 4 cups coconut cream (whole carton) 4 egg yokes 2 T coconut oil 1 T vanilla paste 1 T vanilla extract 1 cup sugar 2 pinches salt 3 T chocolate powder Whisk together all ingredients really well. Heat it on the stove to in a medium sauce pan on low heat until it coats the back of a spoon, stirring often. (about 20 minutes). Let it cool in the fridge. (I let my cool overnight) Add the mixture to the ice cream makers directions and in 20 minutes, voila. Awesome non-dairy home make ice cream.

Mixed feelings...
First and foremost I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by this cream. It was VERY thick after I mixed it. I just cut the carton open completely and dumped it all out into a glass pitcher. It was chunky, had separated and at first I was confused. I thought this couldn't possibly be cream and if it is, it is spoiled or old. Then I remembered making powdered coconut milk before and upon refrigeration, it separates. Oh yeah, it is winter time, duh. Took my wire whisk and within minutes it was smooth, thick and creamy even though it was still cold. Great in coffee and I used the remainder of it to make whipped cream. Yummy! It lasted me about a week, no problems. The downside? It's pricey and I probably will not purchase this again solely for that reason. Coconut milk/cream is a staple for me. I use it much more than dairy and at this price no can do. If this was an item I used for special occasions/meals then yes, this would be my go to purchase. Since I use products like this daily, I need to find something more affordable which may be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. This is good quality CC cream with a coconutty taste and better than any canned cream I've tried. Oh well like they say, "champagne taste on a kool aid budget." It is what it is. If price isn't a concern for you then buy this cream it's high quality and pure coconut cream, you'll love it. I'm glad I tried it and can consider it as an option if I need to.

I suspect there are unlisted ingredients...
I'm giving this a neutral rating because I can't be sure of what I suspect. I chose this product because I get pretty sick when I eat gums such as guar gum or xantham gum; so many products have these ingredients and it's difficult to find a coconut cream product that doesn't. This cream makes me sick, with symptoms identical to what I experience when I eat products containing gums. I can eat shredded coconut, desiccated coconut, coconut sugar, all with no ill effects, so I highly doubt the issue is coconut itself. This leads me to believe there are undisclosed ingredients in it. When I was shopping around and investigating this product, I came across a thread somewhere where people were doubting the purity of this and discussing their belief that there were added ingredients. I thought they were alarmists and that it was a lot of hooey. I believe otherwise now... If you have a problem with gums, proceed with caution. If not - as far as freshness, flavor etc., this cream is great, I really loved it and was sad to let it go...

Wonderful tasting coconut cream...
When I first bought this cream, I thought 'now this is going to make a wonderful pie and possibly whipped cream'. Well, let me tell you, I made the most wonderful Coconut Cream Pie that would just melt in your mouth and the flavor, oh I can't begin to tell you how it taste. It was sooooo good! I even found out how to make the whipped topping for it on the internet using this cream, it only enhanced the pie more. This also is good in smoothies and I would say most anything you could use cream in as long as you like coconut flavor. I will say, on the carton, it says that the cream or milk only lasts so many days after opening. I put that to the test. I put some that was opened in an airtight jar and set it in the back of the middle fridge shelf where it is very cold. I used this cream for well over 2 weeks. It got a bit thick, I set it out on the counter for maybe 30 minutes, stirred and voila, it was good as new. The flavor stayed the same. I have never tried any other brand but I have read that coconut milk is water and coconut cream mixed, the cream should be just 100% coconut cream. This one had to be cream because I got it really cold and whipped it just like regular whipping cream. Experiment.....this one is a good start to come up with something original. Love it!

great for coffee
I posted this review about the AROY-D 100% PURE Coconut Cream, 33.8 Oz package (3-pack) also. But I ordered this first, as I wasn't sure if it would work for me. I am on a diet that requires me to temporarily be dairy-free and needed something for my coffee. But I didn't want canned coconut milk, as I understand that the BPA-free cans contain BPS, which is nearly as nasty. I wanted something in aseptic packages. When I first used it in coffee, it did taste slightly coconut-like, but not in an overwhelming way. I am someone who can't use virgin coconut oil cause it's too strong, I get expeller pressed. But this did not taste like too much coconut for use as a healthy coffee creamer. The package says to refrigerate after opening and to use within 2 days. I do neither of these and it remains quite yummy & edible. I have also used it in a few recipes calling for coconut milk just by diluting half way with water. But my new FAVORITE is adding a tablespoon or two of this to a mug of homemade chicken broth and a bit of sea salt. THIS IS INCREDIBLY YUMMY!
