Hooke Road Wrangler JK Front Bumper w/Winch Plate & LED Lights for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK & Unlimited 2/4 Doors

This is a solid bumper, lights are bright, looks better than photos. It is American made (talking about the Hooke Road bumper). There are reviews of other China made bumpers mixed in on here that look the same, so don't get confused. It bolted right up, no issues. Winch bolted right on. The only issue I can mention is the instructions are not great. The Skid Plate has two brackets, doesn't say which is left or right, but it does matter. I put them on the wrong side at first and had to switch them. It also came with two oval plates that it didn't explain. Those are for the underside of the Bull Bar to keep the bolts from pulling through. I doubt that would happen anyway, the bolts would probably break before they pulled through the bumper. The lights can wire directly to the fog light wires if you have them, but there is some wire modification that needs to be done. There are 4 lights to wire up on the bumper, and only two fog light wires. This will handle the load just fine, as the stock fog lights are 55 Amps, and these are only 18 Amps each. It would be nice if they supplied a splitter that directly plugs into the fog lights, but the lights on the bumper only have wires with no connector, so that has to be wired up. I picked up some connector from O'Reilly's, but that is so I can unplug the wires if I want to remove the bumper for some reason, no need to be that fancy with it.

This Hooke Road front bumper is an absolute upgrade for any 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. As soon as I installed it, my stock Jeep instantly looked way more aggressive. It completely changes the front-end appearance and gives it that serious off-road stance. The build quality is insanely strong. This thing is heavy-duty, solid steel, and feels like it could take a serious hit without flinching. The welds are clean, the finish looks great, and the integrated winch plate is a huge bonus. The included LED lights are bright and add both function and style. It completely upgrades your Jeep in both looks and protection. In a minor crash or trail impact, this bumper is going to protect your front end way better than the stock setup. You can feel the strength just by handling it. Overall, 10/10 — honestly if I could give it 1000/10 I would. Makes your Jeep look aggressive, adds real protection, and is built like a tank. Highly recommend.

Installation was a breeze. With just a few common tools this fit my 2013 JKU like a glove. I like the look, and construction should stand up to the trails and rock climbing. Shipping container quality left something to be desired and the item arrived with visible defects to the coating and a minor dent. I contacted the company right away. After I sent the photos they requested, within two days I was refunded the cost it's going to take to have it stripped and new coating applied. While VERY bright the quality of the lights is low and they barf bright light everywhere instead of the specifically-applied spot beam of the factory fog lights. Bang for the buck can't be beat, however. Overall, very satisfied with this product.

I put this bumper on my "74" CJ 5. I wanted a new style bumper for my CJ and they just aren't available. I chose to buy what I wanted and make it fit. The bumper is cheap Chinese steel. Look at what I did and you'll see why I'm happy with it. It did show up damaged from shipping, but I wasn't going to complain about it, I needed to get busy fabricating. I made the brackets in the pictures and welded them to the frame. This lengthened the frame by 2" and widened the frame. The frame needed to be lengthened because of the way it bolts on and it would of overlapped the deck area in front of the jeep. I wanted that area to be flat for a larger stronger winch plate. I used good thick strong American steel. I was then able to bolt on the bumper. The frame and the bumper are level with one another, it's a perfect fit. I was also afraid that If I had to use all the power the 12k winch has to offer I would twist the Chinese bumper. So I made my own winch plate out of 1/2" American steel. My winch plate is welded to the Jeep and bolts to the holes in the bumpers winch plate. The bumper can still be unbolted and taken off. The new better winch plate joins everything together and makes it stronger. If this bumper gets bent up I can throw it in the dumpster and bolt on another one. The lights are not bright and the finish is not great. I want to keep my old headlights, but now I can run my headlights with the LED lights that came with the bumper and it's like normal modern lights with everything on. I will be adding more lights later. The Bull Bar is held on by two 3/8" stainless steel bolts on each side. The Bull Bar is super weak. It cannot be reinforced without destroying the finish and doing some welding on the bumper, so I'll just leave it like it is.

The front bumper arrived earlier than stated (which was a plus). Upon inspection it was obvious that the bumper had been returned. The nylon strapping securing the box had been cut and then retaped. The foam packing had been broken when the parts had been removed the first time. I found that the item had been returned because the threading on one side of the Bull Bar was messed up. Someone had attempted to screw the bolts in to the Bull Bar but were not successful. The bumper was never removed from the plastic covering. I decided to rethread the Bull Bar instead of returning the bumper. Once the threads were clean, assembly was a breeze. I was able to replace the factory bumper with the new one by myself and fairly quickly. The installed bumper looks great ! I would highly recommend this bumper !

Excellent bumper fit my 2014 Wrangler perfect also mounted up my 13,500 lb winch all is good. I purchased the rear bumper as well these are a awesome upgrade for the Jeep Wrangler.

So I read the reviews before buying just as everyone does. I went ahead and bought it for my wife's birthday. I installed it in 2 hours it fits great. No issues at all. The bumper just looks great and wife is very happy with it. The lights are very bright and I connected them to the factory fog lights. So they work with the jeeps fog light switch. There was nothing complicated about this proflduct.

FedEx lost my package. Hooke gave me a full refund. Absolutely remarkable company. Still no idea if FedEx is going to deliver it, if its lost, or if they never picked it up.
