They are difficult to write on. Only sharpie markers work and they tend to wipe off.

I had to purchase multiple pens and markers in order to find the right one that would write on it they are very glossy and they are very hard to get off they do rip the gloss off first I would not buy these again

Very cute and old timey. Used permanent marker.
I put these stickers on my spice jars. Permenant marker was all it takes. Many compliments!

Hard to write on, even with water/oilproof pens
Very hard to write on. None of my pens worked on such a glossy surface and had to resort to a Sharpie marker, which smears with the slightest touch of with oil. I'm sure for someone who just wants to label bottles that will never get wet or oily, these would work well. They are pretty and vintage in style, so that's why I'm giving them 3 stars not 2, but I won't buy them again. I can't even use them for what I hoped to use them for or for what they were advertised for. I've used others where I can write easily with other oil/waterproof pens, and they work well. I just hoped to use this pretty style for my oil bottles. :(

Worthless, do not purchase.
These labels are worthless. The surface is a slick sticker material, which would be nice, except that it makes writing on them impossible. Permanent marker wipes right off, no matter how long you let it sit. Ballpoint pen barely shows up at all, effectively defeating the purpose. You might be able to figure out how to use them in a commercial printer, but they aren't compatible with a standard home office printer (because the sheets aren't a standard size, and there's no manufacturer information for the printer to recognize the label orientation). It's a good thing these were relatively inexpensive, because they were a complete waste of money.

The moisture in the bathroom made the stickers stain and peel. Definitely not a good product to put anywhere near sinks or showers.
