First Time Used Since I Was a Kid
When I was a kid I lived in blue jeans. Of course, eventually the knees would wear out, and my mother would extend the life of my jeans by applying iron-on denim patches. Decades later, I found myself daily wearing one or two pairs of blue jeans around the house and yard because they are so comfortable and durable. Even though I am nowhere near as hard on these jeans as I was as a kid, the knees did wear out on the oldest pair, which happened to be my favorite ones for comfort. As an aside, I cannot understand why people actually buy new jeans with holes already in the knees because a knee cap sticking out of a hole restricts movement, not to mention there is no skin protection. So, I considered throwing these old jeans out, but then I remembered the old iron-on patches of long ago. I hoped that they were still available, and I quickly found these Singer patches on Amazon. They were super-easy to iron on with a hot iron on "cotton" setting for about 45 seconds or so, making sure to seal the edges down tight. Now, I am back in my old jeans feeling like a kid again. I cannot feel any difference while wearing my jeans now, that is, the patches don't feel stiff or tight. If you love your old jeans, I highly recommend these patches, which come in different shades of blue. The photo is a "selfie" looking down at my left knee. Of course the patch is evident, but who cares? My old jeans have a new life.

Forget the rest. These are the iron on patches you want.
I tried to repair jeans with a cheaper no-name product. It looked pretty good after I was done, but after I wore the jeans and washed them, the patch came completely off. I hadn’t yet even put the jeans in the dryer, yet! So, I bought the Singer patches. Ironed them on in the same place. Again, I washed the jeans after wearing them and this time the patch stayed on. I even threw the jeans in the dryer. Still perfect. I’m throwing the other brand away.

Nice hole repair Jean patch
Iron on patches are easy to put on with an iron. Use plenty of pressure with a hot iron giving patch time to stick. I put a patch on the outside and also over the same hole on the inside. Works great and good denim quality. Good assortment of denim colors.

Warning: Not for high friction areas
I purchased this to repair my jeans. Unfortunately, I am one of those people who ruin their jeans right on the crotch where the legs rub together. I am tired of buying new jeans almost every year. I also love the ones that I have right now so I thought I might as well try to mend it. I followed the instructions really carefully to make sure that the patch will stick well. I love that the set has an assortment of colors and sizes. I was really excited that my jeans were finally fixed but after few minutes of walking around in it, the patches started coming off on the edges. I tried ironing it on again but it just keeps coming off. Oh well, I think the patches are cool and I'm sure it will work better if the area being mended is not the crotch where there is a lot of rubbing. I'll give it 3 stars because I think these patches are worth it for those with crafty hands and I think it's fun to use to decorate clothes or bags. Besides, the purchase was cheap enough for me to really care much. I can still use my left over to decorate my canvas bag. It's not good for repairing high friction areas on your clothes. The best solution in my case is to take it to a tailor.

Not recommended for knee patches. The glue bond isn't strong enough; they peel off.
I bought these patches to patch a hole in my blue wrangler cowboy cut jeans. I followed the instructions on the packet and used my iron to iron on the patch to the prepared area on the knee of my blue jeans. It stuck well and all edges held firm. I let the pants sit for one day and then put them to try it out. A few seconds after they were on, I bent my knee to test the patch. The patch started to peel at the edges from the slight bending. I tried to iron it back on and experienced the same results. So, I ripped it off and started over with another patch from this kit. After completing the process five times and experiencing the same results, I gave up and sewed on a patch from a pair of my older denim jeans. In conclusion, the patches seem to not have enough glue to hold in an area that experiences wear. I cannot recommend them for anything else. They may work as a craft kit, but definitely can't handle being ironed on the knee area of jeans.

Secure hold on patched jeans
I used these denim patches to repair the knees of two pairs of my yard-work jeans. I put the patches on both the inside and outside of the jeans and followed the instructions provided by Singer. The patches adhered very well and continue to hold even after about 6 runs through the washer. This package comes with several colors to match with a variety of faded jean colors. Since I am using them on jeans I don't wear out of the yard, I am content with the looks and am very pleased with the hold and durability of these patches.

Works, if you know how.
These patches have gotten bad reviews from some customers, saying that they came off in the wash and had to be sewed on. The patches actually work quite well, but you have to know how to apply them correctly. First of all, make sure the iron is at its max heat setting (for cottons) and no steam. Let it warm up for a few minutes to make sure it's truly hot enough. Do a single pass on the clothing to smooth out any wrinkles, let it cool for a few seconds, and then lay the patch down over the hole. When you apply the iron, not only should you apply it the recommended 45 seconds, but make sure to use a lot of pressure. I'm a tall guy, and I lean into the iron and press and slowly move it back and forth over the patch to work out any potential problems to make contact with the cloth. After the time's up, remove the iron, and let the pants cool for five minutes before trying a corner gently to see if it's adhered firmly. It should be almost flush with the denim, and not peel at all. I've gone through about five pair of my kids' jeans with these, and had great results.

Amazing quality
I regret not buying them sooner, I throw to the garbage a lot of favorite jeans in the past, I was about to do the same to another two when I come across this amazing product, I am a guy with zero knowledge in how to repair clothes, but the good part is that I didn’t need it, is super ready to apply this product to my jeans, the secret is that you have to let the iron on for a good five minutes before to apply the patch, sometimes after a wash the patch comes loose in the edges, but I just have to iron the patch again and problem solved, if you want to be on the safe side just do some stitching.
