Quality CD Player
Great CD player. Very nice build quality, superb sound and easy to operate. Comes with a remote control, detachable power cord, RCA cables and printed user guide.

Quality product, good performance considering the price range
Only had the unit a week, but first impressions are of a well made unit although perhaps the cd tray Is a little flimsy. Performs very well at the price level and complements our existing Yamaha units.

Bought this along with yamaha amp and Audizio tuner connected to my old denon speakers and it all sounds top notch ,had some good systems over the years but this set up now sounds amazing even at low levels, recommend, but only just Bought it so still early days

Amazing build and sound quality
I should have bought this CD player a long time ago. My old Technics CD player failed and as I already have a Yamaha amp (AS701) I thought I would get a Yamaha CD player. The build quality is excellent and looks great on the shelf above my amp. Sound quality is superb, I didn't think it could get much better than my old player but I was wrong. It sounds clean and crisp. The complaints about the skipping and clicking sounds are fixed by simply updating the firmware by USB stick, you can download the update from the Yamaha website.

Nice sound but forget about the USB port
This is a nice cd-player. Somewhat unexpected, it sounds MUCH better than my previous cd-player (the Yamaha CD-S300). It is a bit slow which worries me somewhat since I had to replace my old player because the CD tray no longer opened...hopefully the same problem won't occur with this one. The USD port is pretty useless. I could use the old player (the Yamaha CD-S300) to play via my i-phone, but I get the message 'unsupported' from this player. This has taken me by surprise. Looking on-line I get conflicting messages whether this is a common issue with the S303.
