I just love Light Mountain henna hair colors. I usually buy red (the box with the fox), which gives me a fantastic red. This time, I'm in a mood where I don't really want red hair anymore, and couldn't have it professionally lightened. So, "Dark Chocolate"! Oh, I just adore how my hair turned out. It's a lovely rich dark brown, and it retained hints of my previous red, giving certain parts of my hair a kiss of auburn. I think I'll use this color in the future, though. It's just such a nice brown. I did notice that this henna "bleeds" a bit more than the Red does - the first morning, I woke up with my neck and parts of my chin and jaw stained a bluish-brown! Fortunately it came off easily with some soap and water! =) For those who haven't used Light Mountain henna before, you'll need to purchase some distilled water to mix the powder with. You work the resulting "mud" through your hair, and leave it on for a couple of hours. In this time, it stains your hair without any harsh chemicals, and even conditions it. Henna has a particular scent to it, and your hair will retain that scent for a couple of washings. It's not unpleasant, just unique to henna. It will stain the skin around your hair where the "mud" touches, so if you find the edges of your face stained after you rinse out the henna, there's a super easy trick I figured out to get the stain off your skin. Take some 10% Benzoyl Peroxide acne cream, and apply it to any stained area. In roughly an hour or less, your skin will be back to normal! Obviously do NOT do this if you have any sensitivity to Benzoyl Peroxide.

All natural and will not cause cancer... I had a terrible reaction on my eye dying extensions in my bathroom until my hair grows out with chemical dye and went the doctor and she could not figure out if it was just caused by an infection or also the chemicals but she said that chemical dye can cause leukemia. So I decided to go back to using indigo henna. This doesn't do quite as black as a chemical dye but it is very close. It helps to blend my roots and With the chemical dye that is already on my hair and I am never going back To chemicals. People who complain about the smell, why don't you think about it.... what's worse a little bit of herbal smell that's harmless or harsh chemicals on the hair dye that you think are so great that can cause serious health problems?

My hair felt great after use & coverage was great. Really messy though, but it was first time using so hopefully next time will be better
