Great kit
This is the best vacuum gauge kit on Amazon. It's somewhat more expensive than other well rated kits but it is worth every penny. The hoses and fittings are of much higher quality than other kits, and everything actually fits perfectly.

It's like an old school ODB II tool .
This is a must-have for any mechanic's tool chest. Whether you are tuning up an old Mustang or troubleshooting a new Honda, a vacuum gauge is indispensable. My kit included: -One 3/1/2" Vacuum gauge encased in rubber--this thing is heavy duty -One 24" hose -One in-line barbed connector -One Fuel Line Universal Adapter -One "T" barbed connector -One conical nozzle adapter The gauge also reads both vacuum and pressure Scale reads from 0-30 inHg, 0-70 cmHq, 0-15psi, and 0-100kPa How does it work. By getting a good vacuum reading (generally off of your vehicle's intake manifold), you can tell a lot about your engine's health. there are some great YouTube videos on how vacuum/vacuum gauges work, but here are some basics (engine idling and warm): -Most engines read between 16-22 inHg. This should be a steady reading once the engine is warmed up -A reading of 8-14 inHg that is steady could indicate a small vacuum leak, a slight timing issue, or poor compression -A reading of >22 inHG that is steady is most likely a timing issue -Small intermittent drops are caused by a problem with the valve spring or a sticky valve This list isn't even close to being all inclusive and doesn't even go into non-idling vacuum diagnostics. There are plenty of online resources for more information. Bottom line is if you have the skills to at least change your own oil, you can benefit from using a vacuum gauge. This gauge kit is durable, comes in a great sturdy case, and has a large easy-to-read gauge face with a handy. I would recommend this to anyone with a rough running engine or a home hobbyist who likes to keep their car in top condition.

Works great like it should
The large gauge is easy to read and it's accurate. OTC makes great tools that are used throughout the automotive industry from dealerships to gas stations. I've never had a problem with OTC tools in my thirty years in the field. Highly recommended.

2nd time is a charm...
The first gauge I ordered from Amazon came reading 4" of vacuum out of the box. I hooked it up to my MityVac pump and confirmed it stayed at 4" off throughout it's entire range. I was disappointed. So I returned it for a replacement. Amazon handled the exchange quickly and with zero hassle. The 2nd gauge to arrive read 0 at rest, and stayed right on track with the MityVac pump through it's entire range. Ahh, much better. So far I have only used this on 2 cars, and they have both had excellent readings with very steady needles on the gauge, so I cannot say it has actually helped me diagnose anything other than properly tuned vehicles, but I am certain it will come in handy one day and I like having it in my tool collection. My only minor complaint about this gauge (other than the questionable quality control on the first one I received) is that I would have liked the case to have been molded a bit differently. While it is plenty large overall, the way the recesses are formed for the gauge and hose means you need to disconnect the hose from the gauge to really get it to set in the case properly. It would have been nice if there was more clearance molded in to allow the hose to stay connected to the gauge and allow for nice gradual bends instead of sharp creasing bends. As I said it is a minor complaint, overall this is a nice gauge.

Another great tool from OTC
This is a well sorted and good value tool from OTC. It also comes with sensible fittings and a high quality fitted case. The gauge is nice and large, has a protective rubber covering, and a nice hanging hook. The main scale thankfully reads inches of mercury on the vacuum side and pounds per square inch on the pressure side (a smaller inner scale reads cm Hg vacuum, and kPa pressure). The gauge is fairly easy to read, the pointer zeroes well after use, and the readings seem to be both accurate and consistent. The blue dial with white scale is slightly off-putting but not really a problem, especially considering that some of the exact same OTC tools are being sold as big brand name tools like Mac only at much higher prices! The blue seems to be a feature of all the OTC dials. Chinese production does NOT make the tools inferior, but it does make them great value. Basic instructions (only) are pasted on the underside of the case lid. There is even a proper label on the outside of the case to describe the tool within, a nice touch. Don't buy acme branded rubbish when decent and very functional OTC gear is available at such good prices. A premium priced Snap On equivalent tool would work no better really... more important to know how to use one properly! An easy recommendation

OTC 5613 Vacuum And Fuel Pressure Gauge In one convenient unit
The OTC gauge measures approximately 100mm in diameter including its protective hard outer plastic shroud which Iโd like to see a little wider to absorb any real world knocks..It has a clip attached at the rear for hanging the gauge and with the clever use of a Blue colored face and White markings and dial, it makes this combination ideal for reading both Vacuum and Fuel Pressure on the one convenient gauge..It comes neatly arranged in a suitably compact plastic carry case to protect your investment. Inside It also contains a 600mm rubber hose and a plasticTee piece, a hose to hose joining piece,a plastic adapter and a metal fitting to make connecting the Vacuum gauge easier.Whether these fittings are suitable for fuel,I have not tested that yet.The Vacuum and Pressure gauge reads primarily in Imperial on the outside and Metric on the inside, just the way I like it! Vacuum reads 0-30 inches of Mercury in 5 inch increments and one inch finer markings in between for precise measurements and O-70cm of Hg in a similar incremental layout. Pressure primarily reads from 0-15psi in 5 psi increments then more precise 0.5psi markings in between and 0-100kPa reading in increments of 20kPa and finer 5kPa increments for more precise readings. The pressure scale could be used to read fuel pressure on older vehicles with a mechanical /diaphragm fuel pumps. The only thing a little annoying is the gauge rattles a little but easily fixed with a small daub of plasticine between the gauge lens and the shroud .Overall ,OTC makes a reliable and accurate gauge that any professional mechanic or technician would want to own and at an affordable price.

Works good. My only complaint is that once the hose ...
Works good, seems to be of good quality materials. My only complaint is that once the hose is attached it's very difficult to remove (that part is not my complaint!), and the only place to put the hose is in a small cutout underneath where the gauge lies, meaning you have to precariously coil up the hose, place it in it's spot, run the remaining hose in it's little groove, and place the gauge back on top without upsetting any of the hose (it's a challenge!!!). Not a huge deal, just a minor annoyance.
