Worked perfectly
The trigger on my old miter saw broke and I ordered this so that I could replace it and it fit perfectly!

This switch does NOT FIT in a Dewalt DW717 miter saw !
DO NOT BUY FOR A DW 717 Type 2 - this is NOT a workable replacement part: 1. it does not fit. when installed correctly, the trigger pull starts the saw, but when released, does not turn off the saw. the finger trigger itself is too fat too allow the spring to turn off the saw. you can turn it off only by assisting the trigger back into off position. 2. Wiring is "backwards". this replacement's electrical connections are opposite the OEM part, so I had to switch R side wires to L, and vice versa. (Before I switched the wires, the saw turned itself on as soon as it was plugged in!)

NOT a replacement for my DW 715 Chop saw
Being lazy I did not take my saw apart before I bought this trigger (bottom) and should have the advertised trigger does NOT fit my saw (Top, attached wiring of DW 715) However the company was extremely quick in remedying the issue with a refund, thank you!

Dangerous
Installed in a DW718 miter saw exactly the way the original switch was wired. As soon as the saw was plugged in it would turn on with out depressing the switch. I ended up ordering an actual Dewalt switch and wired exactly the same and worked flawlessly. You can also see in the attached picture that the terminal locations are not the same as on the original switch. This made it hard just to attach the wires and fit everything into the handle. Spend the extra $10 and get an authentic switch.

Does not fit model DWS780
I ordered this for my DWS780 type 1 and it is not even close to being the correct switch. The wire terminals are not correct and the trigger is way to big to fit in the handle of the saw. I gave 2 star for the misinformation not the quality of the switch.
