Me concernant, j’ai trouvé ça infect

Das australische Pendant zum englischen Marmite, beides nationale Renner. Ein Hefeprodukt auf Getreide. Es hat einen sehr intensiven Geschmack, ähnlich wie flüssige Suppenwürze, aber doch ganz anders. Ich finde, es passt wunderbar z.B. auf Gebäck oder Speisen ohne signifikanten Eigengeschmack. Da es sehr viel Salz enthält, sollte man es nicht in größeren Mengen verwenden. Es ist in dem Sinn kein Brotaufstrich, sondern eine spicige Würzpaste. Durch den Salzgehalt und die Fermentation ist es huthaltbar, auch ungekühlt. Mein Exemplar, im März 26 geliefert, hat ein "best before"-Datum von August 26,aber ich denke, das ist ähnlich wie bei Honig Vorschriften geschuldet. Man muss es unbedingt mit sauberen Löffeln o.ä. entnehmen. Ich habe mir dafür so eine 50er-Packung Holzstäbchen um unter 2 € gekauft.
