I never thought of doing this. Lucky for you I had a XLR to 1/4 mono. I got Zero output. Which makes sense I guess. Can't go in an out :)

how can i use this device to have a clean audio signal from a pioneer dj mixer to an iPhone for live streaming?

Use an interface and a daw to adjust the sound and having a quality cable helps as well such as : Mogami cables or monster cables.

I have a noisy guitar pedal chain; will this suppress noise as the last unit before going into the guitar amplifier?

Decent di box, not the smallest or lightest but it's good quality, well made and does its job, I went to a venue or two that didn't have one so I made a habit of bringing one in my bag to every gig just incase. This didn't make it though and I wen for the smaller lighter and cheaper behringer which worked just as well. Reduces noise as it should giving good sound quality, easy to use too. Listen to the video clip tell me it's noisy? Lol...

I’m using it with my bass for live shows. I just plug my basse in a boss compressor and then in the D.I and voila ! No more static buzz and no more bass amp ! No power supply and no battery needed. Magic !
