Digital Kitchen Scale, Large Clear Display, Wet and Dry Food Scale with Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl - 11 lb

TLDR version: great scale, well worth the purchse. Long version below This scale has enabled me to win the Lokawakatin County pizza dough masters competition! My old scale was not illuminated or very accurate, this one is very accurate (tested) and digital display is well illuminated... which was the key to getting over the hump this year... Let me explain: Sammy Dixon's Grandpa's parlor "Outa-Time Oven" (back to the future themed shoppe) is where the competition is held annually and it is really dimly lit, I always thought prob cause aunt Martha's cataracts. But here's the deal, Sammy Dixon is always in the competition and wins best Sicilian dough (my category) every, freagin, year! In a business that will one day be passed on to him. Hmm, sketchy much. You guessed it, Sammy's family had it in for me. Locally, as far as Roma or Sicilian dough... I was on the come up, and everyone knew it! For a few years my skills were growing and being refined like a ginsu and the Dixon's took this as if I was stomping on their family crest or something... man, I am just an aspiring pizzaolio, trying to live a dream in a small town, I didn't want no beef. Long story short, their family realized if they made the competition lighting poor enough, my old non-illuminated scale could throw me a few grams off here and there on my award-winning TOP SECRET Sicilian dough recipe of 1021 grams flour, 634 grams spring water, 8 grams kosher salt, 6 grams no-salt (potassium), 7 grams instant yeast, 3 grams honey, 17 grams evoo. My new scale is illuminated, and I NAILED my measurements and finally won!!!! Dixon clan is none to happy with me or my new scale... No matter, we are movin on to state finals!! This scale has not only illuminated my measurements properly... it has really illuminated my inner most life goals and dreams... so who knows, after I take state, maybe conquer worlds.

I’ve been using this scale multiple times a week for about two years now, and it’s proven to be very reliable. Measurements are accurate, settle quickly, and the backlit display makes it easy to read every time. The tare function works smoothly, and switching between units (g, oz, ml, lb:oz) is straightforward once you get used to the button placement. It handles both small and larger amounts without any issues. One thing to note is that calibration requires your own weights, so if you plan to calibrate it yourself, you’ll need to have those available. For everyday cooking and baking, it’s been reliable straight out of the box. Overall, this is a no-frills, cost effective, well-built food scale that holds up well with regular use. I’d absolutely recommend it if you want something accurate and long-lasting.

I bought this scale expecting to upgrade eventually. I will stick with this one for a very long time. I use this scale mostly for weighing coffee, and I measure in grams. Ideally, I would get decimal increments but I only get whole numbers - that's fine considering the price. The scale is very accurate. You can test the accuracy by using mL of water which directly correlates to grams (I'm a chemist, also common knowledge on the internet). What really blew me away was the longevity of the scale. I spilled coffee on it this week and it seeped into the internals of the scale. The display became very wonky and I thought I ruined the scale. I decided to try and fix it. I opened the internals, dried the scale, and tried to use it again. The display still wasn't clear. No problem, I'll buy a new cheap scale. The next day, however, the scale worked flawlessly. It's worked all week after taking a considerable amount of water (or worse because it was hot coffee) damage. This thing is awesome! The only complaint I have is one of the Philips head screws on the bottom was stripped. I couldn't unscrew that one so I broke the plastic around it to get in and dry the inside. Not an issue really as I have 7 other screws holding the bottom together. For around $10, this is an incredible scale.

Got this to portion homemade dog food servings. Love the bowl that comes with it. Its user friendly all the way around and a good value. My only complaint is the writing wore off one of the buttons but not that big of deal to me.

Work faultlessly, lightweight, easy to use, clean easily too. Very accurate. Battery seems good too. Very pleased with this tiny scale.
