Mizuno Prospect GXC112 Youth Catchers Mitt

I am a youth league baseball manager and I sometimes buy equipment for my teams to use. I try not to spend too much money because unfortunately not every player treats equipment with respect. Therefore, I bought this catcher's mitt because it had some good reviews at other sites and the price wasn't nearly as extreme as other mitts on the market. All of the players love this mitt! The pocket is perfect size for the 7 to 9 year old age group that I deal with. The mitt hinges rather easily from what I have seen and been told by the players. They have absolutely no problem catching pitches with this mitt. The real surprise for me was how easily they were able to trap, scoop, and block bad pitches with it. The quality is good, and it is made of soft leather that breaks in easily. If you are looking for a catcher's mitt I would definitely consider this one. It is a great mitt and the price is fantastic for what you get.

I am 10 yrs. old and i like to pitch and catch, but i dont have a mit and i am looking for one. usually other people have a mit that i can use. if u get a batting cage and a pitching machine i say get the mit or if you have friends that pitch or catch ( you might need some gear to catch.)you should get it too. but would it be good for me i have an average size hand for a 10 year old. or at least i think i do.
