Nancy touches upon a subject near and dear to all in this Fancy Nancy story from the beloved New York Times bestselling author-illustrator team Jane OโConnor and Robin Preiss Glasser. Nancy absolutely must have her first tooth fall out at school. That way she will be sure to receive the special tooth-holder necklace from the school nurse. But when Nancy's tooth starts wiggling at home, she is worried she might lose it before class. How can Nancy make sure her loose tooth falls out at school? Fancy Nancy and the Too-Loose Tooth is a Level One I Can Read book, which means it's perfect for children learning to sound out words and sentences. The back matter features a list of the rich vocabulary words that are used throughout the story along with their definition. Review: Great Granddaughters Love FN Books! - I started two of my great granddaughters on the "Fancy Nancy" books several years ago, and they are now 8 and 6 yrs. old respectively and both still love the Nancy character! They get them for their birthdays and for Christmas each year, and the books are always welcomed with glee. I actually found a "Fancy Nancy" Tee Shirt and gown for the 6-year old recently and purchased it for her 6-year old birthday that has just passed {in January 2011} and she loved it! I will continue to buy and give the books to the girls until they outgrow them. Most little girls love the themes that the books touch upon, and I think it helps them to acclimate themselves for life at their age, like the "First Grader Book" and the "Loose Tooth" one. The girls know what to expect before they have to actually do it and it takes some of the fear and anxiety out of normal life events for them. They realize it is something that all kids their age go through and is a natural part of growing up so they are prepared when it is their time to experience these events in their growing into "big girls" phases. I am so glad that I discovered the FN Books on desertcart so that my little ones can now enjoy them! Fancy Nancy and the Delectable Cupcakes (I Can Read Book 1) Alphia D. Larkins Acworth, Georgia Review: Nostalgic - Reading this as a young adult is very nostalgic, and honestly the whole plot of Nancy wanting the tooth necklace was incredibly relatable and reminded me of how I was in elementary. The quality of the book, the cover and the print job, gives me nothing to complain about. I'd recommend this for young kids learning to read, but also for anyone older that just wants a bit of nostalgia.

Cute book for Fancy Nancy Fans
This is a cute book! Nancy is jealous that a little boy got a tooth necklace, so she tries hard to have her tooth fall out at school so she can get one too. I like how Nancy uses โfancyโ words to increase kidโs vocabulary and it has a lesson about honesty. My daughter got this book and a dollar as a treat from the tooth fairy.

My daughterโs favorite book
This is my 5 year oldโs favorite book right now and has been holding the #1 spot for a solid 5 months. When she was on the brink of losing her first tooth I bought this book and oh my, did it deliver. She loves it and asks for it just about every single night at bedtime. She even starts reading recently and enjoys reading it herself now. Iโd definitely recommend this!

Really cute especially for someone about to lose a tooth?
This book is cute whether your child is at the age where they're losing teeth still or not. If your child loves Fancy Nancy I really don't think you can go wrong with any of her books. This is a cute book about her friend losing a tooth at school and getting the coveted plastic tooth necklace to wear and store your tooth in, so of course Nancy doesn't want her tooth to fall out unless she is at school. It's really cute and my daughter loved it as she does all the Fancy Nancy books. I love that she loves to speak French and my daughter learns a few new words. I also love how she uses what she calls fancy words and always tells what they're fancy for so I feel like it's good for expanding your child's vocabulary. I also love how at the end of the books she has a review of the fancy words and what they are fancy for or a short meaning for the word. I always recommend these books. I think they're fun and I would say somewhat educational.

I highly recommend them. This is a particularly sweet story about Nancy and her loose tooth! and a dilemma she has with regard to a 'tooth necklace'! gorgeous!

Another great Nancy book
Being a huge Nancy fan my daughter really enjoys this book. All of the I can Read series are very American so I have to explain some words like recess but she loves learning new fancy words and American is almost as fancy as French!!
