What a fantastic product. I had to install some steel fencing to a concrete floor and would normally use a chem fix. problem being that it was very close to the edge of a stairwell and chem fix just wasn't suitable. These did just the job. So much so that I'm seriously considering using them from ow on where I would normally use other methods. Really solid fixing, quick, easy and no chemicals, so must be better for the environment also. Highly recommend.

So simple to us, better than bolts

These are very good quality and provide a strong fox. I did have a single brick simple ‘break up’ when screwing into it - I suspect this has more to do with a poor quality brick.

I have started using these to fit wood and metal to concrete, as long as you drill the correct size pilot hole the bolt cuts the thread as you screw it in, they give a really secure fitment and are easily unscrewed if needed. No signs of rust or erosion so far, and I have purchased a few more in different sizes, very impressed so far. Note - the concrete needs to be well cured, I have found that they work best on older concrete slabs. If it's freshly laid concrete it would leave as long as possible before drilling into it as it can take quite a while to be cured enough for drilling, I waited 5 to 7 days under summer conditions.

I purchased M12 x 150mm thunderbolts to fasten down balustrade posts on to a stone paving patio laid on a stone brick/concrete base. PLEASE NOTE : - the hole diameter shown in the accompanying size guide shown for these bolts is wrong. A 10mm drill hole is too small for a M12 thunderbolt and it will not fit. A 12mm hole is required and the M12 thunderbolt screws into the concrete/stone bricks perfectly. I also recommend that a 14mm hole be also drilled for the first 20mm so that the 14mm diam bolt threads don't unnecessarily damage the paving stone itself. The vendor should rectify the information shown in the size table.

I’ll be honest, I was dubious about the idea of just screwing bolts directly into concrete, but knock me down with a feather, they work perfectly! These were used to bolt some fittings to reinforced concrete fence posts which are TOUGH and about the hardest material you will find in a domestic situation. Drilling the M8 hole for the M10 size bolt required a proper SDS drill (which made it seem easy btw) and the bolts went in using a socket set. Absolutely rock solid. I have seen people complaining that the size of drill was unclear but it’s quite simple. The bolt size is the diameter of the hole required in any fitting but the hole you drill is 2mm smaller so that the threads have material to cut into. Frankly if you don’t realise that drilling a 10mm hole for a bolt which is 10mm overall width will not allow the bolt to grip, will perhaps you shouldn’t be operating power tools in the first place! 🤦‍♂️

Excellent fixings. Have worked a treat fixing some fence posts to a wall, no rawl plugs really easy to fix and impressive strength
