Will an 8 liter bag cover a 75 gallon aquarium?

my 8 liter bag covered a ten gallon aquarium about five times...which is to say, the bag probably would cover about a 50 gallon tank...but then again, that depends on your depth preference. I'd suggest buying two or three so you can get a better idea. It isn't going to hurt you any, since you'd then have a clear idea what you need to buy the next time! Also, be aware bugs will attempt to nest in this product during the heat, so I'd go with pine in the summer months if that would be an issue.

I have a desert tortoise is it okay to use?

I would say yes. I use it for a box turtle in a terrarium and keep it sprayed with water for good humidity. Desert torts don't need that necessarily. Even young, they'll get their moisture from food. My older desert tort lives out in the backyard all summer, but he's pretty old.

Is this suitable for a tomato frog? I was planning on mixing it with ecoearth and spaghum moss to retain humidity.

I don't know anything about tomato frogs but I have a tortoise and need to retain some moisture for humidity in his home and I'm able to use a squirter bottle to add moisture to his bedding as needed. Seems to work just fine.
