Shell Rotella T6 Full Synthetic 5W-40 Diesel Engine Oil, 1 Gallon (3 Pack)

Use this in my 2004 Sprinter. However I mix it with the shell non-synthetic equivalent so it doesn't blow past the rings so bad. My 2004 has 280,000 miles on it. Still works excellent but synthetic is a bit too thin. I must add about 2quarts to it between oil changes. All regular oil drops mpg by about 1.5 mpg. Mix the two to about 3/5ths synthetic to 2/5ths non-synthetic and I get the same mpg as all synthetic and I can go the distance between oil changes without adding any oil. Good compromise and less work, slightly lower cost. I also use Diesel Clean in the fuel to boost cetane, stabilize the fuel, and make the fuel pumps last longer (and improve mpg). I get about 25 to 26 mpg when I add Diesel Clean and use synthetic oil.

I’ve had great results with Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 in my diesel engines. It flows well on cold starts and maintains strong oil pressure once the engine is up to temperature.The full synthetic formula is worth the extra cost for the added protection and consistent performance. I’ve used this oil for years and haven’t had any issues. It’s a product I trust and will continue to buy for all my diesel equipment.

Very Good oil decent price.

I've put lots of miles on three different diesel trucks using Shella Rotella T-6 and I've never had an oil related issue. I have sent this oil to Blackstone laboratories in the past and it always comes back within specs all the way up to the 15k mile mark. The price is decent. If isn't broke, I'm not going to change.Update 22Dec25: I have continued to use this oil in my 2015 Ram 2500, as well as my 2024 Ram 2500. I continue to have great performance with Rotella T6. I have sent oil samples off to Blackstone Laboratory's for oil analysis. Per Blackstone, my oil always falls within acceptable ranges. While the Ram 2500 w/a 6.7L Cummins recommends a 15K oil change interval, I have transitioned to about a 7500 mile oil change intervals. Blackstone's results state that I could run this oil much longer than I do. I would again recommend Rotella T6 for diesel motors.

Good quality oil

My go to for my 6.7 power stroke (5w40). I even run the 15W40 in my Yamaha R1 (yes, it’s compatible). Rotella T6 has a legendary reputation.

Packaging was great, didn’t show up damaged. Worked great to change the oil in my truck. Will buy again.
