Park Tool TW-6.2 Ratcheting Torque Wrench 10-60Nm Drive Tool 3/8-Inch

I’ve been a fan of Park Tool since I got back into biking 20 something years ago when it comes to maintaining, repairing bikes that I have worked on. With that said- I avoided buying this because of the ( initial) cost and that I had calibrated and highly accurate torque wrenches already. Up until recently, they worked ok for work; but I had an unfortunate incident with my previous torque wrenches; and have to replace them. The time and cost was right to buy them now. Let’s talk about it. Comes in a Park Tool blue case. Pretty robust- more on the case later. The tool is set for Newton Meters. It does come with a conversion sticker but when the sticker wears out- a quick internet search can be done for a conversion chart. Most bike repair manuals that I am familiar with are in Newtons already so you’re ahead of the game. The force adjustment is pretty easy to manipulate. Push the knob in- turn to the right micro- torque or turn to the whole torque line- and lock it into place. No need to turn another knob and lose ( or add) the correct torque. I can see if your hands are wet or greasy might have difficulty in this but a quick wipe your hands ( or take off your gloves) can alleviate this. Now, the case. This is my only negative about it. It is a pretty robust plastic case in Park Blue blue. When I first picked it up, I heard a little noise. I opened it up, the wrench was a little loose in the case. The case is not completely forming to the wrench which is good and bad. Good- you can grab the wrench in an instant and not have to fight the case getting it out. Bad- it is relatively moving free which, depending on your travels ( mobile repair vs just keep in your home tool box only to come out when needed) can affect your accuracy. A solution I have used in the past is to put in a piece of foam or bubble wrap in the top of the case. Overall, if you’re serious on maintaining your bike (s) - get this tool.

Great quality

I have both this wrench and its smaller version. I'll never buy another torque wrench. It very easy to use. High quality. The indexing is perfect. The torsion click on both wrenches is very noticeable. This wrench is worth the cost. Don't waste your money buying any other torque wrench. You won't regret it.

I decided to make the investment and purchase this when my flat pedal backed out of my carbon cranks, stripping the threads and completely ruining it and my 1-way 2 hour drive to the bike park. Until that point I was sure tighten by hand and "feel" was just fine. Nope! Now I torque everything to Spec. Now when I tighten pedals, I do exactly +5Nm more than spec, makeing sure it doesn't back out (never has since). This has also proven useful when torquing BB and Crank spindles. Particularly decided to go with this b/c the torque click works clockwise and anti-clockwise. My automotive torque wrench only clicks clockwise. You obviously need both directions when tightening pedals.

Just the right size for the job. Bike maintenance is supposed to be precise and the Park torque ratchet is perfect for the task. Four stars because the meter could be larger. But highly recommend and helpful when turning a pile of sus parts back into a bike.

I purchased this torque wrench as well as the smaller TW-5.2 for lower torque needs. They're such amazing torque wrenches, easy to dial in, easy to use, and beautifully made. There is just nothing to complain about. Sure they're more expensive than other wrenches, but the quality is worth every penny.

I use this for the fasteners on my new bike because on carbon frames you really want to tighten to spec. You can dial in the torque and it stays put. Easy to use and feels comfortable in your hands There are other good values but I keep coming back to Park Tool because it will always do what it's supposed to do.

Superb torque wrench for more than cycles! Picked it up at a bargain price too good to refuse.

Bel outil de park tool, très bonne qualité, il est facile à ajuster et va très bien, j'ai torqué mon pédalier de vélo avec.
