Neoteck 0-1 Inch Dial Indicator with 176lbs(80kg) Magnetic Base Holder

This unit has the quality level and price point that is perfect for my needs. The stand is excellent. The dial works, but it is mechanically rough, has a cheap apperance and is difficult to adjust to zero on the dial. As a hobbyist who will occassionally use this item, it is a perfect fit. I can deal with its short comings and would not benefit substationally from purchasing a higher priced unit with a higher quality dial. However, if you will use it routinely or for precision machining, you will want to invest in something better.

So far it appears to function just fine. I originally ordered the Nano for the different dial indicator. But it was too small, this will still mount a dovetail indicator though.

had this set for about 3 months now. i’m a machinist and i run 2 cnc’s on nightshift and manual when i need to. so it’s definitely taken a few drops and bangs. lots of coolant and hot chips, and it’s still doing exactly what i need it too. and when it says the magnetic is strong, it means the magnet is STRONG! definitely a 5 star product for the price.

Used to installed lsd locker and new ring/pinion. Worked very well with no issues

Great mag base indicator, used it once to indicate the flywheel to bellhousing on my Jeep and it was very accurate, repeated within .001" every time. Definitely a great build quality and good value for the price. The arm holds strong once locked down and has very little movement.

Seems to be adequate for general use., e.g. adjusting the run-out on saw blades, drill bits, etc. The magnet is impressively strong.

This product has very poor quality control! First of all the dial indicator has a stripped out threaded hole. As a result the tiny screw was laying in the plastic wrap and would not screw into its location. Another issue is that the adjustment arm located at the magnetic base is very loose and will not stay in any position on its own. It falls towards any downward position with gravity. This going to make it very hard to use this device if it can be used at all! I'm very disappointed. On the positive aspects, the magnetic seems to work well. The switch on the base activates the magnet properly. The senceativity on the dial indicator seems to work smoothly. And possessioning of the arm mechanism seems to work well if the arm would stay in a position. All in all I'm disappointed with this item. Steve....

Overall seems very nice!! I haven’t used it or put the needle in the holder so not sure how that fits! However the needle is super sensitive works very good!

Great quality for the price. As a machinist, this is one of the very useful equipment on my day to day job. Strong mag base, easy set up and accurate reading. Been using this for 3 months now and have no complaints so far.

The stand works perfectly fine. I would like to ask Neoteck to also offer the magnetic stand with a dial indicator or plunge indicator (as shown). The plunge indicator is good but I find that I use dial indicator much more than plunge indicators.

Feels of nice quality works well set up our planer no problem

Works great just a few minor issues withe the screws being too short for the other back peice for the dial indicator and a crack in the lens.

Unfortunately, I hadn't realized that my table saw is not magnetic, so I haven't used it much, but from what I've seen, it performs as expected.
