Extended the life of the Haldex 4x4 system on a Yeti 2014
I needed to service my Skoda Yeti 2014 4x4 as it had crossed 60K Km. Since its end of life and Skoda locally has pretty much not been of much help, I was on the lookout for a Haldex differential service fluid. The OEM from Skoda/VW/Audi was either never in stock or the service centers tried to push me to use automatic transmission fluid instead. Skoda's service locally even touted that the Haldex is sealed for life and does not require any maintenance. SURE!!! Like VW said the same on the Polo DCT system. I felt lucky to have found this on Amazon and after some searching about it, looks to be a good alternative to the OEM fluids. Now that the service is done (thru a local garage, no thanks to Skoda), the system should be good to go for another 60K Kms. I ordered 3 cans, just to be safe. The service used 1 full can (partial flush had to be done) and 2/3rd from the second can. The 3rd is kept as a spare or for others who may need it. As I do take the Yeti off-road, the Haldex does come into use often. Quite a few Bangalore roads these past few years are pretty much a Dakar special stage as it is.
