GREAT product, does not crumble like other brands AND is more pure, not having additive products: sticks to just the RYE! Flavor is delicious! Makes a sandwich, or is GREAT with cream cheese or broiled with Caraway sprinkled on top and Swiss or other yellow cheese! GREAT service as this order was shipped right away and received in excellent shape.

I got, for my $39.99, after a week of shipping, a single plastic pack with 12 slices, with a sticker “pack of 12”. This is the most expensive bread I have ever had. Buyer beware.

Thank you Amazon for bringing in this excellent product. Yes, it is crumbles a little when you open a package so you need to open it carefully. I open the package and carefully take bread out. I use my ceramic knife to cut it in half. Then I put those halves in plastic bag. The bread doesn't break after you toast it. I love rye bread; I love its smell, taste, consistency. I cannot get enough of this bread. One reviewer said that the bread is not fresh. Well, it is vacuum packed bread and tastes a little different from bread right from the oven. Thank you to Feldkamp's amazing process we have this tasty German bread on our plates. Well done Amazon!

I like the flavor, the dense texture, and no sugars or preservatives. Only a few ingredients. I cut the loaf in half and each half is approximately the size of a slice of regular bread.

I bought it because I wanted to try German Rye bread, the taste doesn't match any of those that I've tried before, the texture. I tried Ukrainian rye bread, Canadian rye bread and adds Canadian under the German brand. I think it's made in the Chinese style, it looks similar but it's not the same at all. Germans have a concept of a thing made from leftovers - ersatz. You can try this for a lot of money. Besides, instead of 12 pieces I found only seven.

This rye bread is of excellent quality and can last for a long time if unopened. Part of a healthy diet. You feel full after eating just one slice. This bread is versatile as well. Whether with butter and honey, mustard or horseradish and cold-cuts along with some good pickles, with tuna salad or with peanut butter (or better yet, almond butter), it works as breakfast, lunch, or dinner or as hors d'oeuvres.

We opened just one of the packets and neither my husband nor I liked it at all. I put it in the fridge to keep until next time and it was moldy is just two days. Now I'm stuck with an entire box of this bread that will most likely not be used.
