BEST duct tape. When you want it to hold, you can rest assured that this quality Gorilla tape gets the job done. Every spring, I tape up my heat pump, which is outside, with a nylon screen to keep cottonwood from getting into the internals. And the tape stays put the entire season. I’ve used it for many other things, and the adhesive they use is extremely sticky, which is what you want, and the tape backing is very strong. It is the right thickness, so you can pull it tight onto whatever you’re taping.

I even used it to temporarily reattach a loose sole on my shoe, and frankly, it felt more secure than the original stitching. I'm pretty sure I could use this tape to hold the fabric of space-time together if I tried hard enough. The only downside? Once it's on, it's on. Trying to remove it is like attempting to convince a toddler to give up their favorite toy – messy, frustrating, and ultimately, you're probably going to lose. But honestly, that's a small price to pay for the sheer, unyielding power it provides. Now to get my wife to stop using it for pictures on the walls; it's tore off not just paint but chunks of drywall when removed.
