This little motor works great and was a real bargain
WOW... This little motor works great and was a real bargain. The motor was a direct fit to my Consew motor bolts, but I had to drill holes for the on/off switch. I had to manufacture a bracket to secure the needle position sensor. But once I finally got it mounted the sensor works great. It has all the power anyone doing upholstery will need and I can control the speed with the foot peddle to a single stitch at a time. It arrived in good shape in the original box from China. The instructions are not very clear and there were no instructions for mounting the needle sensor. The motor is very quiet, you can't hear it at all when your not sewing. All said and done I am very pleased with this motor.

Perfect control
Industrial sewing machines are amazing, but 10,000 stitches per minute (yes, you read that right) was much more than I could handle. At a fraction of the size of a clutch-style motor It is better balanced, quieter and more easily controlled. On my industrial serger torque isn't a concern, but speed is. However, on my walking foot booth are concerns. At all speeds, but especially low speeds, the torque is vastly improved. I can punch thru nearly anything that I can fit under the foot. The best upgrade I've made for perhaps anything I've ever owned. That is saying a lot, I'm an old guy who has been upgrading stuff since adding RAM to my Atari 400 in the 80's.

Good for a Juki LU-1508
The assembly fits fine and the servo motor works fine as well. The foot treadle metal rod is long enough, but it's too flimsy. It bends after a while - from the upward motion of stepping on the back of the treadle to raise the needle. I had to get a better treadle rod assembly.

Decent value, very good quality
Very pleased with purchase — quieter, smoother operation and engagement when compared to the clutch driven motor it replaced. Only limitation is needle positioner which works but not as fluidly, accurately as it should. Installation was easy, components are of decent quality. Documentation is a bit lacking, may be insufficient for non-professional installers.

Should have known about this years ago.
Perfect tool!!! It gives the user total control of the speed of the machine. Easy to install, ten minutes. The needle position sensor makes life behind the machine tons more efficient! Perfect for beginners as well as seasoned life long sewers. It is so quiet that you absolutely can not hear it run. A must have for all commercial sewing! I've installed this product on all of my machines, Addler, consew, juki and singer.

Killer setup for the price
The installation was pretty straightforward. It came with extra flat washers to space appropriately for belt alignment. The control coming from a clutch motor is night-and-day different! I’m running a Mercury M-337 (Consew 205RB clone) and while I don’t have a lot of time on it yet, I just ran 5 test panels (V138 bonded poly) of Spralding 29oz marine vinyl without even getting into the treadle. That was on the included 75mm pulley but I’ll probably odrer the 45mm and ramp up my max RPM. All in all, the control is way better than a clutch motor and it looks like it’ll be able to handle whatever I can deal it’s way as far as marine vinyl goes. Keep in mind- the receptacle on the back of the controller module is only a two-prong female. I went ahead and mounted a galvanized 4-plex box to the underside of the table so I could employ external work lighting. Instructions suck so you may need to become a thinking person, but there are a few thorough youtube videos. Other than that- it’s a great setup so far and definitely worth the asking price.

Motor works as stated; needle position sensor adapter does not fit a Consew RB-3
The motor works as I suspected; the needle position sensor has an adapter and the shiny screws that are in the picture. The black screw is from my Consew RB-3, so they don't thread into the adapter (not pictured.) When I messaged the seller and I get this reply "Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, there is not another adapter for this model." Well, OK, maybe that should have been one of the tidbits of information on the listing. They suggested I could return the item, but I don't want to return the motor, but the needle sensor is an add-on item to the motor. I'm going to get a different bolt OR rethread their shiny screw.

Great little motor for the price.
Powerful motor in such a small package !!! For those who are having trouble deciding between sewing machine motor's, especially for those who do automotive upholstery, you will not be disappointed with this motor !!! Especially at this price. Put on a 50mm pulley & and this thing makes a Consew 225 crawl. Also... extremely quiet when running, and it only runs when the pedal is pressed, not like those heavy clutch motor's which run constantly making that annoying humming noise. Great product !!!

It works great, but note that the needle positioner won't work with deep speed reductions. The controller keeps count of the motor pulses, and if it doesn't see the needle positioner sensor within a certain amount of pulses, it will just assume it's not there. Works with the default pulley on the motor with an 11-inch pulley on the sewing machine.

Shipping was fast, good service works as described easy to install. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the description said you could adjust speed from 0-4500 rpm. This is not correct the lowest you can go is 500 rpm otherwise worth the money

Cast metal housing from which the motor is supposed to be suspended should have tapped (threaded) bolt holes. The unit I received was not tapped and as result the bolt designed to connect the motor to support housing could not be attached.
