These are very attractive dishes with a high shine to the glaze and a really pleasing shape and depth that lends itself to being used as a plate or bowl. They have a nice weight to them. They are perfect for a dinner salad make really nice presentation with a serving of something like lasagna or pasta. The only small issue I have with them is that there are some slight irregularities in the glaze in the center of the dishes of which is dimpling but very shallow and not really taking away from enjoyment of using them or from their appearance. One of them had a deep enough one that it left one spot unglazed in a very small pit in the surface. It makes me wonder if these are factory seconds. In any case, the seller generously discounted the whole order due to the noticeable defect in only one of the dishes. It was a generous response to a complaint about only one out of six dishes. The slight irregularities beneath the glaze on the other dishes are so negligible that I would not hesitate to buy these again or to recommend them.

I love these salad bowls! They are a perfect size for a large portion salad, and low rim so cutting is not difficult.

I’ve had a plastic bowl with the same dimensions and have been looking for glass or ceramic that’s the same. So when I saw these I immediately bought them and they don’t disappoint and are perfect. I use them just about every day, they are very durable, fit in the dishwasher in many different spots, and are good for all kinds of different types of dishes.

UPDATE: Customer service for Sweese is excellent. I was able to contact them about this broken bowl - and they resolved it. Happy customer. Bowls are lovely except one was broken. Because they were a gift I didn’t open until now and apparently it’s too late to get the warranty. Very disappointed as I’m a repeat customer and even have a set of these exact bowls at my home we use regularly.
