Philips Automotive Lighting D1R Authentic Xenon HID Headlight Bulb with 4200K Intense White Light, Fits Select High Beam and Low Beam Positions, 1 Pack

Sent on time, I installed on my motorcycle and works great.

I ordered these bulvas (2x) as a replacement bulb for my 2006 Lincoln Navigator with the OEM HID headlights. One light turned purple/violet and eventually went out, so I ordered two of these in case the Philips bulb wouldn't match. Upon receiving the package I checked their authenticity on the Philips website, and they are both real. I went ahead and installed them without any issues, they fit perfectly. My truck is equipped with Osram Xenarec 4200k bulbs originally, these Philips bulbs have more of a white/yellowish (but still white) tinge to them, where the OEM bulb was more pure white color with a slight hue of very very light purple (see pics, Osram on left, Philips on right). You can see the comparison in the picture below. I am however satisfied and I ordered two of these because I knew the other Osram bulb was probably on the way out. With both bulbs being Philips the car looks great, no mismatching lights. I bought these compared to the cheapo Asian lights because of the questionable reviews by people with the cheap lights, I am a firm believer of "buy it right the first time" so you don't have to replace them again in the near future. The replacement for both bulbs took 20 minutes.

My 2006 Town Car's passenger side HID light (original/factory) turned pink. Following day, called the local Ford service department and they quoted me $600 for both bulbs. Saving $480 was no brainer for me. Had to take out the headlight assembly to change out the bulbs which took about an hour for both headlights.Good:- The price, way cheaper than local auto parts store.- Seems like OE qualityBad:- Color is too warm. My factory OEM bulb was OSRAM XENARC, which had a bright white color. Now it's yellow/orange.I'm satisfy I saved $480 but it feels like I have a halogen headlights now.

Passenger side headlight started flickering and then went totally out. I purchased two of these a lot cheaper than the price of one at the dealer. These look just as well made as the factory ones i replaced and went right in with no modifications needed. It took about ten minutes to change both lights following the instructions in the Escalade owners manual. Lights are a lot brighter than the old ones (more white with slight blue tinge) and would definitely purchase in pairs due to the brightness difference. I have had them in my Escalade for three weeks without a problem. I will definitely purchase these again if needed.

There's a lot of multi-purpose bulbs out there, but I like getting as close to OEM as possible. A word of caution though; while trying to save even more money on this item (it's about $100 at auto parts stores, and $60-ish when I bought it brand new on Amazon), I tried ordering a used, Amazon-warehouse item. The first attempt, I was sent the wrong bulb entirely (I needed the D1R, and was sent a D3S). The second time I was sent a bulb that was already broken with pieces floating in the box. Save yourself the hassle (and the potential traffic stop, lol), and just spend the extra money for a new item.

Nice bright white replacement bulb for my 2004 Escalade. I purchased 2 knowing that my original working light would be going shortly and looking at the reviews would have more of a blue hue than the new bulb. The road is lit up once again !!! These are brighter than my origanal bulbs and was easy to install !!!
