I was impressed with the quality of manufacture of this product, also the functionality. Considering the cost, I would call this a great value. With a little experimenting, I quickly found that it can securely hold my phone while it is still in the case, with the flap of the case down so as to access the camera. That was crucial. It would have been kind of useless if not for that. (I'm not going to take the phone out of the case every time I want to put it on a tripod.) I was so pleased that I ordered two more, one for my wife and one as a spare.

My tripod fell over and the piece that holds the phone broke. Ordered this as a replacement piece and fits perfectly in the tripod and holds phone just as good as the piece that broke. Good price as well.
