Blaze Pizza Stone

Used the pizza stone for the first time and it worked as it was advertised and more. I love the stone!!!

DISCLAIMER: I didn't purchase on amazon so I am not a verified purchaser. I purchased at my local Blaze BBQ grill store. I included pictures to validate my owning of the product.I have been making pizzas at home in the oven for the past few years. While I have never mastered it I was getting pretty good. I recently purchased a Blaze Grill and wanted to give it a try. I took my old pizza stone I used in the oven and put it ontop of the grates in my BBQ. My pizza turned out so well I instantly sent an invite to my friends that we are having a pizza making party at my house. Next night I wanted another pizza so I heated up the grill again halfway though the cooking process my stone broke. Party was the next say so I scrambled to find this stone and while it cost a lot more look at the pictures. It a nice thick stone and to date I have cooked about a dozen pizza on it. I accidentally got the stone up to 700 degrees and it didn't crack.Pizzas on the stone in the BBQ take about 5 minutes to cook. You will need a nice metal pizza peel. I have a wood one which I coat liberally with corn meal and then put my formed dough on. I add sauce, cheese and topping and it typically slide right onto the stone. If it get stuck I didn't put enough corn meal on and I get my metal peel and encourage the pizza on to the stone. I have a infrared thermometer and try to keep my stone between 500 and 600 degrees. I also quickly discovered a pizza stone brush is a great to clean it off. As you can tell mine looks like it could use a good scrubbing...it won't come clean and the stains don't seem to affect cooking. I did read if the stains get bad you can use sandpaper to sand it down a bit.If you are skeptical try it with a cheap stone before buying but trust me this is worth every penny!

Fits my black grill like a glove. Pizzas are amazing. If you have a black grill and want amazing pizzas get you one.
