Great delivery and great product

If you are a fan of boiled peanuts these are wonderful. I pour them into a bowl and put them in the microwave for 2.5 minutes. As soon as they cool enough to open them dig in, they are best when warm!

I've had many, many cans of Peanut Patch boiled peanuts as I grew up eating not only homemade boiled peanuts but locally made ones from gas stations, etc. and Peanut Patch canned. I just bought a big can in Virginia since I can't get them where I live and my discovered my son is crazy about them too, so I went ahead and ordered this case of 12. Here are some pertinent facts: The best by date listed on the case is August, 2026. Now, they will not go bad after that...this is just when they are best to eat. So, this case is not super old or outdated stock. The price is a bit expensive but not a deal breaker if you just have to have them and can't find green peanuts to make your own. You can make them with regular raw peanuts (not green) but these are hard to find outside the south as well. I had paid $3:18 for a large can in Virginia. These come to around $3:33 for regular-sized cans. So...a bit expensive but probably not too bad for us beggars who can't really be choosy. I opted to order these because they are fulfilled by Amazon but the prices is still better than some other offerings of Peanut Patch on Amazon.

perfect for when im missing the south!

The first time I saw canned boiled peanuts, I turned up my nose. My family's always made our own b.p. and I refused to believe that any produced commercially - much less canned - could be any good. And later, when crock pots of hot boiled peanuts began popping up in gas stations around the South, I continued to turn up my nose. Then I moved to an area where raw peanuts are hard to come by, and went through a prolonged and sad b.p. dry spell. One day, on a road trip to visit family, I finally broke down and decided to give the gas station peanuts a try. They were good enough to take along to family gatherings, and soon I became the designated b.p. provider (a responsibility I did not take lightly - I cannot stress enough how much my family loves b.p.). Not long ago, on my way to a Labor Day party, I stopped at the gas station where I usually picked up several pint cups of b.p. for the family. But they were fresh out. They saw my distress and offered to cook up a batch for me if I were willing to wait. I said yes please, and when the clerk brought back an industrial-sized can of Peanut Patch peanuts, the penny dropped. These were the same canned peanuts I'd turned my nose up at in the store all those years ago. (Don't ask me where I thought those crock pot peanuts came from.) Now I've eliminated the middle man - and the chance of turning up to family gatherings empty handed - by buying the cans here and heating them up myself. I would give these 5 stars, but that rating's reserved for the old family recipe. The gist: Good boiled peanuts! I recommend.
