Wasn't expecting too much from this film But was pleasantly surprised all the main cast were great especially the two leads And the action was great as expected from a marvel film and it had some good humorous parts as well I'm glad I watched it Would recommend this film

the one Marvel film to watch if you hate Marvel films
Not sure what poor reviewers are on about. This is by far one of the best written Marvel films I've seen. I generally can't stand Marvel/superhero films because they're the same junk regurgitated over and over again; non-stop explosions, fights and city destruction with brief pauses for lame dialogue and wooden acting. With Shang Chi I feel like there was actual effort invested in the story writing and dialogue. Sure, there is plenty predictable - all superhero movies are effectively the same - but this is one of the very few I would watch again. This film also holds a special appeal to anyone, like me, who grew up watching those HK kung fu films of the 80's and 90's.
